Re: Rayman Adventures
I detect some delay in your device, Haruka, I never had problems like that with the game. No delays, no nothing. Maybe sometimes I lose because I swipe the wrong way and end up jumping instead of kicking, but that doesn't happen very often.
Look on the bright side, Haruka, you're playing on super-turbo-hard mode!

According to the list I received while testing the beta, Samsung Galaxy phones are known to have bugs with Rayman Adventures. There were many models listed. Maybe some issues were still not fixed?

Don't think so. I've been playing on a Samsung Galaxy J7. Things are running pretty smoothlyOCG wrote:According to the list I received while testing the beta, Samsung Galaxy phones are known to have bugs with Rayman Adventures. There were many models listed. Maybe some issues were still not fixed?

Gameplay-wise, You know what sucks, though? ...
Turning while hanging from something. You know what I'm talking about. You jump, grab a vine, then boom, a combo of Bubble'd Lums appear to the left, and you jump to grab them, BUT OOOH, RAYMAN JUMPED TO THE RIGHT AND DIED HORRIBLY. What you actually have to do is grab the vine, then awkwardly destroy your momentum, then swipe to the left so Rayman turns to the other side, THEN jump. You have to do this slow enough to let the game detect your movement as a swipe and not as a tap, and fast enough so the lums don't disappear.
It's god awful. There's a sea level that forced those mechanics a lot. There were tons of those lums caught in bubbles, and there were electric barriers everywhere. Worst level of all.

When I play Rayman Adventures on bluestacks, the screen looks blurry, and it's zoomed in for some reason.OCG wrote:According to the list I received while testing the beta, Samsung Galaxy phones are known to have bugs with Rayman Adventures. Re: Rayman Adventures
Delay in which way? The game runs fine on my SIII. If it was a bit slower in a point or other it was surely due to the activity of background apps but that is not what I am complaining about.
Re: Rayman Adventures
I think Sergio wanted to say that even though game runs at good speed on your device that it looks on video at some points that controls are delayed and not responding on correct time.

Re: Rayman Adventures
Yeah, I am definitely seeing that in Haruka's video as well. It seems to take a while for the device to detect taps and swipes. I don't have that problem personally, but even without it the control scheme feels really bad simply because it's unresponsive, as I mentioned before.OCG wrote:I think Sergio wanted to say that even though game runs at good speed on your device that it looks on video at some points that controls are delayed and not responding on correct time.
Yep, and that's because the current control scheme is as if you had a controller with no buttons but only one analog stick to control every action.sergiomonty wrote:Turning while hanging from something. And it would also be fixed with virtual joysticks. If you would have separate regions (joysticks/buttons) on the screen to control your direction and your jumps the game would be able to detect that simultaneously. But yeah, people have prejudices against virtual joysticks simply because they've seen some bad implementations of them. That's pretty sad.

Re: Rayman Adventures
I still love the game, though. Even though I can only play 4 levels twice a day, I think it hits that spot of cleverness that makes Ubiart's Rayman so charming. Every level seems to tell a little story. "Rayman goes to the ruins, and after defeating a bunch of Lividstones, finds a treasure of skull coins, but suddenly, the ruins collapse, it was a trap! Rayman must escape and avoid the rocks. The toads are coming! Run Rayman! Run for your life! There's the captain! Another Adventure completed!". It fills me with enthusiasm. Jungle Run and Fiesta Run were just about platforming, this has personality. I even value the fact that they had the chance to use the scrapped ghost world as part of Teensies in Trouble.
And the Captain, even if he appears randomly, is actually a cool guy, I like him as part of the crew.
Dang... I really want a 2d series for Rayman Adventures, or Legends, or Origins or whatever... just make it happen.

Yup. That's what I meant.OCG wrote:I think Sergio wanted to say that even though game runs at good speed on your device that it looks on video at some points that controls are delayed and not responding on correct time.
Re: Rayman Adventures
The new 2D games having personality!? Ha, as a veteran of the Rayman franchise I can list an entire essay why that's not correct and why you're an idiot.sergiomonty wrote:I still love the game, though. But seriously, by 2D series do you mean by video games or a Television series? Because the new games have proven to be have that oozing charm that can make a wonderfully animated show.
And not only are we getting the ghost world, we're also getting the Japanese world soon!

A 2d TV show based on the 2d games, of course! As long as the Incrediballs aren't the main characters, so... yeah .Bradandez wrote:But seriously, by 2D series do you mean by video games or a Television series? I mean 2d because, well, even if we've gotten some amazing CGI trailers for both Legends and Adventures, I don't think Ubisoft would spend their budget on good CGI. It'd end up like most CGI tv series on Nickelodeon, with bland skin textures and plastic haircuts (I love TMNT, tho).

Wh-what? How many levels are in this game?Bradandez wrote:Currently on Adventure 126! :0
Re: Rayman Adventures
I like that idea a whole lot! If they did make a new 2D series, I just hope they actually use the source material unlike that OTHER CGI animated television show. And 2D shows are always better than CGI ones, because like you said, most of the CGI animated shows have a poor budget and are not really well animated. Everything always looks stiffer and not as lively.sergiomonty wrote:[A 2d TV show based on the 2d games, of course! As long as the Incrediballs aren't the main characters, so... yeah .

I dunno. It's practically endless but with just levels repeating from time to time.Sabertooth1000000000 wrote:Wh-what? How many levels are in this game?Bradandez wrote:Currently on Adventure 126! :0

Re: Rayman Adventures
Do they? I've been playing since launch and I'm still surprised I haven't seen a single repeated level. Maybe, and JUST maybe, I've seen some repeated level structures (Like the level where you regulate water in a dungeon via switches), but it's never the same mission. Levels don't seem auto-generated either, since most of them rely on a single gimmick.Bradandez wrote: I dunno. It's practically endless but with just levels repeating from time to time.
Re: Rayman Adventures
There are several pre-made adventures for each world which the game randomly chooses from when you select a new adventure. So after a while adventures will repeat themselves, though I think the game is made in a way so it doesn't choose a adventure structure you've recently been to. I'm currently on adventure 294 and while I loved the game first it's getting kind of repetitive now when I only have the achievements left to achieve (and the costumes of course...).sergiomonty wrote:Do they? If I got to state my opinion on the game more clearly I'd say that there's nothing wrong with the game it self. As a fan I'm of course disappointed that this is it. I mean, Jungle/Fiesta Run were fine because both those games came with another console game (Origins/Legends) and therefor you never really judged those games as full games. With Adventures being the ONLY game we're getting it of course feels a bit disappointing. If I set those thoughts aside however I see a pretty good game, though I got to admit I used to play a lot of mobile games so I'm more used to it I guess. So for me the controls are no problem (though being able to choose virtual controls would be nice!) and I think the game's challenge is balanced quite well if not a bit to easy at times. The microtransactions which annoys many are basically what mobile games are all about nowadays. We've got some that went quite well that were paid, like Monument Valley, though the majority of games are free now. So I think it was only logical for this one to follow the same formula for it to get more attention. I mean, Rayman is not as popular anymore and while Origins and Legends were received well they didn't sell well. So as no one really know about Rayman now I think this can attract more attention to him.

Adventure 294? How is that even physically possible when the game's been out for a week and they make you wait five hours every time you beat four levels?Carrot-master wrote:[I'm currently on adventure 294 and while I loved the game first it's getting kind of repetitive now when I only have the achievements left to achieve (and the costumes of course...).
Re: Rayman Adventures
