I'm sure bayonetta was up there but she was definitely a "we'll please a decent batch of people and also we can market Smash NX by adding these top 3 characters in the announcement trailer" decision. I'm not really upset though, the only ones I wanted were Rayman and Waluigi and neither was gonna win. Inb4 King K announcement trailer in 2019.

Corrin is a stupid character though, if their idea was to add another relevant face they should've done Inkling. I'd rather have had a forgotten F-Zero character than this weeaboo trash. I mean Fire Emblems' alright, but it's not like the character design isn't just variations of the same thing.
