Since I had nothing to do, I decided to replay Rayman M today, which I didn't touch for quite a while, it's really darn awesome!
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Currently playing Super Mario Maker, Kirby Triple Deluxe, A Link Between Worlds, Tomodachi Life, and Wind Waker HD.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
How's A Link Between Worlds? I can't tell if it's like a genuine Zelda adventure or more something gameplay/gimmick based like Tri Force Heroes.

I've been playing Wooly World, it's pretty cool. It's the same sort of more relaxing, walk-in-park difficulty of New Island, except this doesn't suck massive shit. Epic Yarn had a bit more to it, but it's engaging enough and pretty to look at, and it feels way more polished and cared for than some of the bleh titles that came out this year.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
It is a genuine Zelda game. It plays exactly like ALBT but there some different additions. For one thing, you rent items from this new character that stays in your home instead of finding them. So you choose what items you rent and take on the dungeon. If you die in the dungeon, you respawn in your house if you choose to continue and have the option to swap items. The Transforming to a Painting is such a fun mechanic and the game is built around it, so it does not feel gimmicky at all.Keane wrote:How's A Link Between Worlds? Re: What games are you currently playing?
I find it to be the 2nd best 2D Zelda right behind Minish Cap, and highly recommend it to those that haven't tried it yet.
So I've been playing the Jak trilogy on PS3, and after completing the first game and playing through the second, I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the controls in this series, cause literally everything in the first two games controls like crap. Jak does, the bikes do, and the mini-games unforgivably do; and it only makes it stand out more when the other aspects of the are so well polished!

Re: What games are you currently playing?
Since I didn't get much of anything from family on Christmas I decided to treat myself to a game, and Ive wanted to try a new MMO foor a while but without a working PC that limmitted me to pretty much to 2 games, Final Fantasy 14 and Elder Scrolls online and I chose ESO.
And about 30 hours in, at level 20 Im really enjooying myself. It feels enough like Elder Scrolls to carry the name and whike I don't think its as good as Skyrim or Morrowind, I am having more fun with it than I did Oblivion, but 1 thing it does take from Oblivion that Im happy about is the art style, the provinces I've seen are extremely colourful lots of bright yellows, greens, blue's and reds etc, its a really pretty game. Melee combat is pretty much identical to Skyrim, you just have a hotbar with other abilities on it like most MMOs. Rangged combat is watered down, bows don't need Arrows. and projectiles home in on enemies to compensate for lag Im assuming.
The quests are probably the best I've experienced in any mmo, they're well written and pretty much everything is voice acted fairly well too. The game uses a buy to play model, there is a subscription than gives you an xp boost, access to the dlc without buying them individually and some store currency which is mostly cosmetic stuff and mounts. Its not necessary to subscribe but its optimal because otherwise leveling is extremely slow and youre gonna end up underleveled if your not doing almost all the quests in a zone.
I haven't had much chance to try pvp but Ive heard its probably the best thing about the game and from some gameplay videos it does look really exciting.
All in all its really good. Im enjoying it, A lot, but i really wish non subscribed leveling was faster.
