Re: Off Topic
I'm just pleased Trump didn't win. Still I'm flabbergasted he was able to rake in so much support from the every-day American public, even the British public petitioned for him to be banned from entering the country (admittedly over a stupid issue)...
Re: Off Topic
It's indeed great that Trump didn't win, but it's not like Ted Cruz (or Marco Rubio for that matter) is better. Clinton or Sanders should have a field day in this election, but then again, 'Murrica is quite stupid (even though I'd love to go there, but I'm also quite stupid in my own ways)
Re: Off Topic
Well take in mind, it is just Iowa, and Iowa isn't known to often elect whoever goes on to become the actual nominee. I think Trump will face more of a challenge in these caucus nights than he expected, but I wouldn't be surprised if he wins New Hampshire next week: Iowa conservatives are more far-right than Trump, which is why Cruz and Rubio were able to do so well there.
It wasn't a celebration for Clinton though - Sanders getting practically tied, and potentially having won if it weren't for some questionable results, is a big threat coming from the "guy who is only there to give Clinton someone to debate with." The news networks trying to portray Iowa as a genuine win for her are only doing damage control. In comparison from where they started, Sanders actually did better.
Clinton claims to dislike the TPP but only flip-flopped suddenly because it's likely that Obama will finish it off in his presidency. The TPP is such a fucking retarded, shitless idea that that on its own should be enough to call bullshit on her. Sanders' campaign is almost entirely centered around stopping this system, whereas Clinton is actively fueling the system and sharing such intelligent ideas as "Everyone should love me, even Wall Street! =)" They compare on issues like identity politics, and she might offer one or two good points economically, but these are really minor issues next to the question of "Should we allow corporations to bribe access to dumping toxic waste without regulation?"
And also, Sanders was marching with MLK and speaking against corporate control in the 60's and 70's. Clinton was holding a speech about how homosexuals threaten the "sacred bond of marriage" in 2004. She's borderline republican.

Sanders is against big money, Clinton's entire campaign runs on big money. Her "stance" might claim otherwise, but it's completely not true that someone being backed by corporations is even able to do anything against them when she's signing contracts with them. She'll play the same role as Obama and go "those guys are so bad! if only we could do something!" Except Clinton would be that on a much grander, worse scale. In this aspect even Trump looks more progressive than her, and he's a fucking corporate shill himself. Clinton won't fix climate change, she won't get big money out of the electoral system, and she'll probably back terrible ideas like killing net neutrality off.Hunchman801 wrote:What would you say mostly differentiates him from Clinton?

A quick reminder here:Keane wrote:She's borderline republican.
Forget about Democrats and Republicans and focus on ideas, that's the only way forward.Hunchman801 wrote:You're just bashing a party here, not arguing on ideas. Not that I disagree with you, [...] but partisanship is what plagues politics nowadays and you don't want to be part of it.
Re: Off Topic
But in the applied context it makes sense - She's trying to appear as being the left Trump, almost suggesting she leans to being "far-left" and often criticising the right for just about anything. Her socio-political views feel a bit superficial, yet that's almost entirely what the whole "the liberals are the party of yes!!" image depends on.
If it came down to Clinton and Rand, I think I'd actually prefer the latter.

Re: Off Topic
I really like most of Rand Paul's ideas, especially as concerns the economy, federalism, individual rights and foreign policy. Don't agree at all on most social issues though (drug legalisation, abortion and gay marriage for example).
Re: Off Topic
All I know is I'm voting for Bernie. Fuck Trump. Fuck Clinton. Feel the Bern.
Re: Off Topic
I'm voting for Rayman.

Too bad the votes will get rigged and Bayonetta will win with a Fire Emblem character as VP.DandyGuy wrote:I'm voting for Rayman.

HAI GUISE! IM B4Q!
No seriously, I've seen some shit... everytime I go on to the official Rayman FB page, the comments sections! It's always about that 4'th Rayman game!
And even... comparing the Inrediballs to the Rabbids.
This is why we can't have nice things!
K, enough rabling. How are you guys? Is anyone getting Trumped as of lately?

Re: Off Topic
Sounds fair, but I hate it when people keep constantly whining and demanding for the scrapped Rayman 4. Or "any proper 3D Rayman game with everything that Rayman Revolution/3 has" for that matter.Acarr wrote:I couldn't care less about the incrediballs but anything is better than those god forsaken Rabbids.Indy wrote:No seriously, I've seen some shit... everytime I go on to the official Rayman FB page, the comments sections! This is one of the major reasons why I barely draw any Rayman fanart besides my Indiana 'INDY' Viola project, and let the mods even feature my work. I don't want any crying and bitching over my art begging for Rayman-fucking-4 or read bullshit about what or who is ripped off of.

Re: Off Topic
Given the reactionsTM we've gotten from Rayman Adventures, I can't help but wonder what things would have been like if the Rayman Raving Rabbids storm happened in this social networking age.
Re: Off Topic
I'd assume it only would have gotten one game in the series. Given that people (including myself) Would have reacted™ negativity towards it. Just like we are today. I fear that another 3D Rayman game will never happen.
Re: Off Topic
Never say never. All series will be rebooted at some point. Especially if Ubisoft calls the shots.
Re: Off Topic
That happens? God that sounds annoying.Indy wrote:This is one of the major reasons why I barely draw any Rayman fanart besides my Indiana 'INDY' Viola project, and let the mods even feature my work.
