Re: Rayman Origins
Paper Jam sucks. It's an awful game. It proposed a crazy hype idea, but it had zero fanservice, poorly executed "innovations", crappy sidequests, and probably, the worst plot on any Mario RPG. Yes, even worse than Sticker Star.
Re: Rayman Origins
Wow really? I expected it to be good. I guess Mario RPG games are slowy becomming CoD type of games. Just releasing a new game for quick cash with not much effort put into :\

Re: Rayman Origins
Now that I read again what I said, I sounded like I was on a total rage, lol. But seriously, I'm actually disappointed. It was one of the few hype-worthy things for my E3... but it didn't fulfill my expectations :c
Re: Rayman Origins
The interwebs seem to be a little split on it. It looks pretty good overall, but it does make me cringe a little to see so much footage of standard mario characters in standard environments. I really miss the more crazy/innovative feel of Thousand Year Door and Partners in Time. I'll probably pick it up after a slight price drop.
Was Dream Team good btw? I'm thinking of buying that one since I just kinda skipped over it for some reason.

Same, at 9 years old I was already playing Sonic on the Genesis, Super Mario Bros on NES etcCHRdutch wrote:I actually got into Retro Gaming when I was 11.Acarr wrote:Have you seen the "Kids react to" videos? Re: Rayman Origins
I used to play Rayman 2 on an old PS1 when I was 6 (2005?). We also had Time Crisis Project Titan (and I still have it), Disney’s Tarzan, Disney’s Hercules, Gran Turismo 2 (still have that one), Duke Nukem Land of the Babes (I also have that one), and more.
I now have a modded slim PSone.

Pfft, you kids think you're hot because you played old games when everyone was playing modern games. HA! I was playing old games when they were new!CHRdutch wrote:I actually got into Retro Gaming when I was 11.Acarr wrote:Have you seen the "Kids react to" videos? Re: Rayman Origins
I'm currently playing it and enjoying it for the most part, but all of the complaints you've heard about the game are true. It's not very creative and I don't know what they were thinking when they made the primary objective of the game to rescue Toads who will run away from you, but it's a generally fun game with a good battle system and awesome character interaction. We get to see Bowser Jr talk to the Koopalings for the first time ever, and it's interesting.Keane wrote:The interwebs seem to be a little split on it. It's wonderful if you like tutorials and fetch-quests and boredom.Keane wrote:Was Dream Team good btw? I'm thinking of buying that one since I just kinda skipped over it for some reason.

It was...g-gooood.... I mean, the spirit and the creativity were there. It's just that the whole thing was filled with tutorials everywhere.Keane wrote: Was Dream Team good btw? I'm thinking of buying that one since I just kinda skipped over it for some reason.

Re: Rayman Origins
Hi guys!
I was wondering, how bad is the 3DS port of RO? I played the demo and it.. it's not nice. But is it really that bad, the actual game, that is. ?

Re: Rayman Origins
All DS / 3DS ports of Rayman games are bad, I think.
Re: Rayman Origins
I believe the sound quality and framerate is bad in the 3DS port, though I don't know for sure as I've never tried it before.
Re: Rayman Origins
I have both copies. I can say it's not as bad, it's still playable, but it is the worst port of Rayman Origins.

Re: Rayman Origins
Hi!
On the french wiki I read this character is scrapped from Rayman Origins but the description is still present in the script.
https://raymanpc.com/wiki/fr/Flash_MacPtiz
Does anyone know more about his character? Can someone look into the Origin's details and find the english script?
Thx!
