Re: Rayman 3
Yeah please don't torture yourself with the GoG version of Forever, it comes with an assload of problems and you gotta track down old forum posts to find the fixes, and then it still ends up being a little jittery.

Re: Rayman 3
Sorry guys but i don't think that GoG version is a good alternative, i've got 2 cd versions of Rayman 3 and i don't see why i should buy it, there oughta be a reason why my pc doesn't make it run, because last year i didn't have any problem with it, help me please, i've been sick since 6 days and i want to solve this annoying issue.
Re: Rayman 3
It won't help to get the GOG version as the GOG version of Rayman 3 is almost 100% the same as the disc version. The only reason to buy a GOG version of a game if you have the disc one would be Rayman 2 as the GOG version fixes the pirate-head glitch. No idea what you are talking about regarding Rayman Forever as it works fine for me...? I did get to replace the soundtrack files, though that was all.
I just tried my disc-version of Rayman 3 on my Windows 10 computer and it works just fine. You can try some compatibility settings maybe or try changing the resolution. Try windowed mode as well (changing the 1 to 0 before the resolution in the ubi.ini file, do it on both if you have two ones just in case).

Done both, still can't make it run. Maybe it's better if i attach you here my ubi.ini file:Carrot-master wrote:I just tried my disc-version of Rayman 3 on my Windows 10 computer and it works just fine. Try changing the language to English and see if that helps.

No, it didn't work
Re: Rayman 3
Hey, calm down! I'm just trying to help. I remember it helped someone else to change the language in the ubi.ini file.Sbaffo wrote:You racist!Carrot-master wrote:Try changing the language to English and see if that helps.

Well, I actually don't know what more to suggest now. I really have no idea why it doesn't work.
Re: Rayman 3
Do you run the game via launcher from desktop or have you tried Rayman 3.exe?
And now I lost myself about which Rayman we talking now.

Copy content of the Rayman 3 catalog, and paste into the new location D:\Rayman
Re: Rayman 3
I downloaded a Rayman 3 version on torrent with crack... it's working, omg.
Re: Rayman 3
Hmm... Maybe it's Windows 10 issue connected with disabling support for old DRMs - SafeDisc and SecuROM due to security risk.
Solution is just copying binary without DRM - so a crack, or just buy GOG, it's the crack there inside.

Re: Rayman 3
I've got to the bottom of why 2D Madness wouldn't unlock on Rayman 3 GC. It turns out that the Rayman 3 GBA save file has to be 100% complete for it to unlock.
Re: Rayman 3
I JUST UNLOCKED 2D NIGHTMARE:
Granted, this is with emulators, but no cheats were used on the GameCube (on the GBA I edited lums to 1000, which unlocked 2D Madness, then unlocked every level, which unlocked 2D Nightmare).
Not sure what triggers this, I'll have to look into it.
EDIT: I know that the trigger is:

- Not related to any progress made on the GameCube version of Rayman 3.
- Not related to progress made on collecting Lums or Cages in the GBA version of Rayman 3.
- Maybe related to progress made in unlocking levels, bonus levels (in game kind, not GameCube connection kind) or worlds.

Re: Rayman 3
Hmm, if memory serves, didn't Haruka test this with a supposedly 100%ed GBA file? And it didn't work then? What could differ from a normally completed 100%, and a cheated 100%?

Congratulations on your find! Looks like you're getting quite close now!

There are other minigames (at least in the PAL version) that exhibit the same life-bar bug as 2D Nightmare, and it just seems too complete to not be unlockable. I wonder if anyone will ever figure it out.

Re: Rayman 3
Hm, could it be something like that the GBA version doesn't save after you complete the final level (the final boss) and then it's never saved that the level has been completed, while your cheat code set all levels, including the final one, to be completed?
Re: Rayman 3
Could be. Right now I am playing through the game properly and that particular byte is incremented after completing a main level and certain sub levels.

I guess this is a progress. I am looking forward for more discoveries, Rib!
Re: Rayman 3
Not sure if I should had posted this in the Glitch thread, but I will post this here because it is Rayman 3 related and kinda creepy.
Long time ago, I've played Rayman 3 for PS2 and got the silly idea to switch cd's while Rayman 3 was still running. I put Rayman Revolution in it but not sure if someone else did that before, but strange noises appear. Even Rayman Revolution soundeffects and music appeared. It was cool but creepy as I heard Ly speaking. Does someone have an explanation for this? Rayman 3 was still playable despite putting Rayman Revolution in it. Only if I pressed "start" the game freezed! This works in every world of Rayman 3 and each world plays different Rayman Revolution soundeffects or music. I think I even heard unused stuff!
You only must play Rayman 3, press the blue button on the PS2 to switch cd's and put Revolution in it. Close it again and wait few seconds and you'll hear it.
It was so scary and it still is! You can try it out if you own a PS2, Rayman 3 and Revolution! But I am not sure if it's harming the PS2 and the games. My PS2 is almost older than 10 years and it does not destroyed my console nor the games. If someone else wants to test it out, you maybe can record it XD
Believe me I've done this many times and it is creepy as fuck! I guess it is music corruption or something else which triggers it!
