I watched it aswell. It looks really good. Just the name Breath of the Wind seems kinda stupid. But it doesn't matter that much to me.

Why did Fifo get a toilet as his rank? Also why is his ting counter negative?

You get the rank + the massive ting deduction when you screw up or act like an asshole, though I dunno why fifo got the shitter treatment. I had it for a while for making some really cringy threads I think. You get your tings back eventually, as long as you don't keep complaining about it.

Well shit, I hadn't seen it yet but just saw Trump got his first drop in the polls ever after his insane speech on it. Not that Clinton is any better, but just that obvious pandering and fearmongering is some of the sleaziest shit I've seen. The whole thing had little to do with showing some goddamn respect for the victims or providing proper action, but more just "trump = less terrorism, im the solution vote for me."

I actually think "Breath of the Wind/Wild" is a cool name. At least it isn't something super generic, and it gives me the impression that the game will be pretty beautifully constructed environment-wise (which is true).

I totally agree with you. By itself I don't mind, but as a zelda game it sounds weird to me. Not horrible, just out of place.

Well, we can't forget that those growing up with a holy book that literally teaches to kill homosexuals, it's not unlikely someone will take this to heart. I think it's far more crazy to say getting angry at an ideology that teaches this is not (one of many) appropriate responses.

The environments to me look like they were made with a random heightmap generator with algorithmic distribution of grass and trees. In most of the gameplay I watched, I saw few "beautifully [hand-crafted] environments".

The character models also are very low-poly with mediocre, inaccurate lighting. I know it's for previous generation hardware, but compare even the Link player model to the obviously superior models of Tales of Berseria:

and Persona 5:

^These aren't even graphically intense games. We are clearly now capable of making anime-styled models and environments that look almost indistinguishable from hand-drawn. A lot of people seem to overlook this as if it's 2006 still.

I think that Nintendo just has no budget at this point, even less than a third-party company.

A fully fledged game made from the ground up for the Wii U's capabilities, using the Twilight Princess visuals, would be pretty x-treme. Nonetheless I like the more Wind Waker-y look, it's not really blowing me away but the presentation of it clicks with me. A lot of the environments look very brightly coloured and the artstyle compliments that atmosphere, it makes it all very eye popping and appealing to look at.

It's not particularly blowing me away or anything, I just think stylised visuals are a lot more forgivable than Star Fox's, where it just so blatant and underwhelming.

Well that is a reasonable punsihment. I know you guys have really wanted this whole beta site thing under wraps. Its only fair if they respect your rules and privacy of the site.
Also I hope whatever this "new site" is, is successful for you guys. :)

It's effectively a phpBB update, the live site uses phpBB 3.0, the new one will be using 3.1. There's a few new bells and whistles added to improve the experience, but all in all, it's still very much the RPC that you know.

I tried cooking some branches and twigs on a pan, but for some reason I just couldn't. That until I realized...

It was a Non-Stick pan.

I, for one, am thoroughly excited for the upcoming ting-based gambling system.
