Re: What games are you currently playing?
Boy, with those Steam summer sales I don't know where to begin, but I did begin playing a bit of The Stanley Parable.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
You guys always talk about games I never heard about. :p
And most of them aren't even my type....

What's your type then, incognito?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Well, FPS, but not Call Of Duty...
And also dead space...
I've been into Rage lately, excellent game, but the end comes so abruptly that it is heavily disappointing.
There are many excellent easter eggs btw.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
just tried the System shock remake pre-alpha demo, its only 10 minutes long but its already really really promising, and when I get the money I'm almost definitely backing this. For a pre-alpha unity engine game it runs smooth as hell & looks gerogous, theres only the pipe wrench in the demo (unless I missed a gun and I think I did) and meleee combat is basic run in, swing, run out stuff, but it feels weighty enough to be satisfying, but also clunky enough to make you feel vulnerable, this is also supposed to be horror as well as FPS after all. I can even see some inspiration from new Doom here, when you pick up important items in particular, depth of field turns on and a short animation of your character inspecting the object plays.
Try the demo, its free on both steam and GOG, if you like it think about backing the kickstarter.

I always feel like a marketting exec when I'm writing about a game i really enjoy here, but this game is legitimately exciting me.

I got that game as well and been playing little on and off, definitely pretty addictive and fun.Bradandez wrote:Playing Rhythm Heaven Megamix. I love it so far!
Best Warioware game in quite some time!
Re: What games are you currently playing?
I'm gonna start my annual Animal Crossing playthrough. I'm kinda edging towards restarting from scratch but, also kinda reluctant to delete my old town. I'm literally contemplating wasting 30 bucks on a new copy just so I can keep my shitty town in existence.
It looks pretty spooktacular, that's an even bigger make-over than Half-Life got. I hope they'll pull through with the project, I love the idea of giving these massive updates to outdated FPS/horror games and it really helps realise the visions of game devs who were limited to older capabilities.buildersith wrote:system shock fuck yeah

Come on Hunch, pics or it didn't happen.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Still playing good old Civ 5. Gonna get a new PC when the new Polaris cards are available here though, looking forward to playing some of the games I can't run smoothly right now. And Civ 6 of course.

The new Polaris cards are really impressive, especially for the price point. Gonna build a new one yourself?
Re: What games are you currently playing?
It'd make sense to do it myself yes, both financially and just to gain a new skill. I've never done it, but it can't be that difficult, right?

Not at all, though if you ever need help figuring out parts, don't hesitate to give me a shout.Matyuv wrote:It'd make sense to do it myself yes, both financially and just to gain a new skill. I've never done it, but it can't be that difficult, right?

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I finished Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City last night, not a great game but a decent shooter and it's always nice to revisit Raccoon City landmarks!
There's the DLCs too, but the Spec Ops missions after the first one are like 20€ total, which is like twice what I paid for this 2012 game.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
mostly been playing stuff I've bought from the steam sale, most of which I' own on consoles and some of which I've already talked about here before, so I'll juist keep this quick.
Fallout 4: Still enjoy this game, mods are really nice to have especially since PS4 mods have been delayed. Is it just my setup though or is it kinda poorly optomized for PC? It told me when I first launched the game that it could run at Ultra setting but i turned it down to high and then medium when I noticed a lot of FPS drops, and theyre still happening, not as severe, but it is kinda off-putting. also got the season pass but I've not tried any od the lc stuff yet except soem of the workshop stuff.
DOOM: everytthing iI said about this game when it came out still stands, but holy hell playing it with a mouse + keyoard is excillerating, it's so fast! It runs really smoothly too, I'm usually getting about 80-100 fps with everything on medium. Multiplayer seems much faster too (though the ame was updated since i last playedi t and that might be responsible) as well as not bieng limited by a controller. Snapmap is kinda weird to control on M+KL though, I might use a controller for building maps in that still, ad its a shame I can't use the same snapmap ID as I did on the console version.
Also been playing Zombiecide with some friends on tabletop simulator, its really fun, kind of like a turn based Left 4 Dead, but most of my enjoyment comes out of it being a group storytelling expierience, like how surprisingly and ridiculously good our survivors are at killing zombies, such as my friends cop character runningu p to a horde of seven zombies, slicing five of tem at onmce with a chainsaw and finishing the last two off with a shotgun. and whilst we were actually moving the zombie figures ooff of the board, we accidentally flipped a zombie the next square forward upside down, the in game explanation being that the zombie was so amazed by the cops zombie killing abilities, that it turned its world upside down.

I've gotten Fallout 4 on steam sale, not sure how it'd perform on my machine yet. Though I'm looking forward to trying out some DLCs, more than anything.

Re: What games are you currently playing?
I was tempted by Fallout 4 during the sales, but I'd rather wait until a GoTY like release before buying.
Re: What games are you currently playing?
Played some Ratchet and Clank on PS3. Not to my surprise, I'm really enjoying it!
