Re: Rayman Legends
Did you guys hear about the Ubisoft interview where they said that Wii U helped them relaunch Rayman 2D?

Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah...remind me again how annoyed Ninty fans were (and some still are) for their multiplatform delay shenanigans? With the Wii U, we were able to relaunch Rayman 2D. It was a good thing for the company and the brand and its fans.
And put it against GTA V and other big titles in September in the process. Nice.If you remember, it was supposed to be Wii U exclusive, but we made it multi-platform when we saw it wasn’t selling fast enough.
Heh.The Wii U has done quite well. It’s still a Nintendo machine with lots of great franchises, and we’ve sold lots of copies of Just Dance on it.
I'm not really a major Ninty fan, but even so I don't think Ubi's really been all too kind with the Wii U.
Re: Rayman Legends
I find it odd that they didn't acknowledge RO. I don't think that Wii U was that important for the Rayman series.

Re: Rayman Legends
Uh, any reason they're calling it Rayman 2D instead of its actual name? I could maybe see why if they were talking about Rayman Origins, but...
Re: Rayman Legends
It's the prequel to Rayman 3D.

These interviews are super cool, thanks for sharing them!
Re: Rayman Legends

Also interesting is, that the nymphs do kinda look different in some early pictures. Edith has bones attached to her legs, Holly looks a bit different and Betilla has more jewellery, like around her body. Not sure about the others though, but I once saw Annetta fish with some earrings! I think the nymphs got animated badly in the finished product, because I've seen one old gameplay of Rayman Origins, where Edith up was better animated and every nymph had their own animation after getting saved! Betilla also looked much better in the first trailer, while in the finished produce the nymphs looked too MUCH alike, despite being sisters.

Nobody had a personality other than the Bubble Dreamer.Greeness wrote: the saddest thing about the nymphs is that they ended up with no personality.
Re: Rayman Legends
Yeah, it's actually the saddest part about the whole game!

Re: Rayman Legends
If character personality is one of your big concerns towards a game designed purely for gameplay, then you're in the wrong.
Re: Rayman Legends
No I didn't mind it, origins and legends have some of the greatest game design I have ever seen in a 2d platformer.Bradandez wrote:If character personality is one of your big concerns towards a game designed purely for gameplay, then you're in the wrong.
