Ahh, woodworking. Last time < did that was in Year 7, as part of Crafts or whatever the subject was called at the time. Our project was to create a novelty spatula, < recalls not doing too well with it.
Re: The You Game!
< just arranged < equipment table and <'s bedside table...
Better look now.

< does think < should do some DIY projects some time though. <'s experience with Electronics in Uni can only allow < to accomplish so much.

Re: The You Game!
Heh, < is aware of instructables, there was a project there that came in handy when < was working on getting bluetooth serial comms to work for <'s uni project work. Sadly, the computers didn't want to work properly with the bluetooth dongle that < had used in <'s project, so < ended up using serial over USB.

Re: The You Game!
< wouldn't mind trying it out. But it'd require some metal work and intricate tooling that < is nowhere near competent enough to do. < would probably just get the toy for that, if < wanted one.
Though < does wonder if < could do something like a RC vehicle. < does have an RPi to spare, and < could always nab a few motors and the like. Given < also has some experience with bluetooth serial comms now, < could try making a remote via phone app. Though then < would need to learn how to make apps, and after <'s last attempt, which ended up with < hitting a big brick wall, < thinks < would need a little more learning.
Still, < needs to get the creative juices flowing somehow, < thinks <'s been somewhat lazy this summer.

< believes ^ could make a really cool device like that.

There is a tutorial on one of <'s favourite YouTube channel : TinkernutMaster wrote:< wouldn't mind trying it out. But it'd require some metal work and intricate tooling that < is nowhere near competent enough to do. < would probably just get the toy for that, if < wanted one.

Enjoy.
< is a DIY buff, if only < had more material...
After all, <'s helmet was hand made from salvaged material, < may later show the respirator < made some months ago.
Also, < know the code shown is pretty basic, and the stuff used is not at the peak of tech, so < would as an example suggest to take inspo from Rage 's rc cars with an old smartphone as a cam and emitter.
Or even go nuts and use a raspberrypi for everything and add a little camera to it. Dunno, your choice dude !
Re: The You Game!
Aaaaaaaand YouTube is screwing around with their website to make it whiter. Jesus Christ, before doing that get a proper DMCA takedown review system.
< has to edit a video for the first time for an actual audience.

< had to figure out the manual feed on the new printer here at work. Have to force the paper in a bit for it to activate the microswitch.
