We do not delete users' accounts, Jona was banned for heavy insults and Romano deleted his Tings, even if I do not think this was necessary. So the posts were not kept for any reason other than preventing the old discussions of the board from getting meaningless because of missing posts.
I do really wonder why Jona posts under the same IP address he used in his old account, it looks like he really wants to be recognized.
