But yeah, nothing wrong with letting a game come out when ready, but given Ninty's exclusivity, I would feel a little bummed out for having to wait until the next platform came out before it released.

I thought NX was due out in March 2017? Unless you've got a TARDIS you're not telling me about

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
At least Zelda U will be the only playable game at E3. That'll give those following the game more insight on the game itself.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I think Zelda U's delay though since 2011 has been good because we've gotten so many Zelda titles off of it. I REALLY enjoyed the remakes we've got and I think those were great. I hope NX has backwards compatibility with Wii U games.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I've heard rumors of Mario Maker and Splatoon remakes or ports heading to the NX. Though, these are rumors, so of course I wouldn't go and assume these will come into fruition.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I've heard those same rumors. I've even heard of a "Smash Bros: Complete edition" (containing all the DLC). Though I'm not exactly all for the idea, especially for Mario Maker since a lot of the novelty of it really comes from the gamepad.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm all in for a Smash Bros. Complete Edition. But if these rumors are to be true, then will the NX have another controller like the Gamepad?

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Curious how all this suddenly dropped today but I guess it's interesting. NX has been rumoured for so long it's hard to be that excited over it but it's still nice to see it not only confirmed but coming out soon-ish. For the gamepad i'd guess it'd at least hold compatability with it much like the wiimotes for U (Possibly NX too is compatable with wiimotes, heh).
The mobile titles i'll admit is the stuff i'm most interested in, especially with what they could do with the Fire Emblem ones provided it's not just all the dating pish they like throwing in the latest ones. Also if AC is said to be used for a console one then perhaps that's hinting at a new one since I can't see them using an older version of it, perhaps a U/NX one?

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I'm OK with this news overall, at least from my personal perspective. If the delay means time to massively polish the game then sure.
I dont get their thinking process at all though - release the NX and a major Zelda title after the holidays? It seriously seems like Nintendo's biggest problems always come from such obvious foreseeable problems. This will almost certainly delay my chance to buy it by a year if not more.

Or it could become like Duke Nukem Forever. But let's assume it won't.Keane wrote:I'm OK with this news overall, at least from my personal perspective. If the delay means time to massively polish the game then sure.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
It'd be quite the occasion if Ninty pulled a DNF, I'd imagine.
As for other Ninty matters, I've been checking out Kirby: Planet Robobot, it looks somewhat darker in comparison to its immediate preceding titles. Though it's still very much Kirby, so darker is relative really. I'm liking its boss theme: It's not quite as upbeat or catchy as the boss themes from Triple Deluxe or Return to Dreamland, I find it somewhat more sombre though.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I looked at gameplay and I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the darker tone. Though the game is certainly looking great.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
God damn it, Nintendo.
You knew we wanted these, but these new Callie and Marie amiibo don't do anything but just unlock new songs and dance moves. I was really hoping that they were gonna be playable in Single Player. And those reskins of the already existing Splatoon amiibo are just reskins, so they say.
Sigh...
Looks like I'm spending $60 on these 'cuz I really love Splatoon.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Not darker as in hardcore, but compared to the upbeatness of Triple Deluxe and Return to Dreamland, the game seems to be less so. From what I've seen, there's slightly more plot involved in this one, and the basic gist of the plot is actually rather similar to Rayman 2 in some regards.Rayfist wrote:I looked at gameplay and I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the darker tone. Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Planet Robobot confirmed to be a spiritual successor to Rayman 2.

The funny thing is, if you replace the piracy with a corporate group, you wouldn't be too far off.
Anyways, so I've seen some inklings of Ninty's E3 offerings, and it's interesting to see Ninty take the open world route. I don't think they've done an open world sort of game in the past, have they?

Unless you want to count the first Zelda game, sorta open-world.Master wrote:The funny thing is, if you replace the piracy with a corporate group, you wouldn't be too far off.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Technically it is open-world because you are allowed to go everywhere as you see fit.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
The Tokyo Game Show is rapidly coming (yes, I do believe this is a non-pathetic way of bumping a thread), the NX is probably gonna be revealed then. So, in light of what we saw at E3, what do you think will be the features of the new console?
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
This time the gamepad comes with two screens.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Welp, I finally got my WiiU-cleaning-lens kit and it didn't fix the problem. The motor needed to spin the CD is probably bust, and it's either sending it for repair or buying another one on the cheap, since the NX is unlikely to play WiiU discs.
