Going around a few games right now, but my attention is primarily on Mass Effect 2, where I was sorely tempted to kill Jack upon recruitment and Zaeed after his dick moves during his personal mission.

Though specifically I'm starting IV. And it's a really awesome RPG (easily the best on 3ds), while also pretty difficult. And I love it's post apocalyptic themes the game has while introducing various factions with differing ideologies on what the outcome of Tokyo should be. It definitely has a very interesting while also very dark atmosphere (compared to the Persona titles).
Have you decided on which ending you plan on taking? I wound up taking the chaos route, which was fuuuuun. I also did what people call the "Nihilist's ending," which was pretty dark.

Locked on neutral ending thankfully :P

I take it you went the 'oblivion' route in your second ending.

How dare you.
Well, a little bit of Quake now, Mission Pack II, Dissolution of Eternity, The Scourge of Armagon was much better in my opinion.

Alright I finally beat Paper Mario today, which is somehow a game that I never played or even really knew much about until I picked it up. I almost feel like a little privileged to have played an actual proper new (to me) Paper Mario game while everyone is falling down into the Colour Splash abyss.

Like Colour Splash is so fucking bad after playing this, it's like whole production team is made up of "how do you do fellow kids?"

I'm playing Sonic Advance 3, which is surprisingly good including its great soundtrack.

The Advance series is very underrated. Advance 2 is okay, but both 1 and 3 are both excellent and some of the best platformers on the GBA. 3 especially had a really catchy soundtrack. The partner system thing too was incredibly innovative for Sonic as well. Would certainly love to replay those games one day.

I forget if I mentioned earlier but I beat SMT IV (few weeks ago) and it was a lot of fun, I love it's themes of law and chaos and showing the extreme sides of things.
I also beat Far Cry 3 and it was okay. I'm not huge into shooters but it is pretty enjoyable.

...At this point I really don't know what else to play this summer before I go back to School. I finished Final Fantasy X, Persona 3,4, SMT IV, and Far Cry 3, but now I really don't know what else I'd like to clear off my backlog.

If you wanna play an awesome game, give Quake 1 some shots, and use an SMG as you'll need it to defeat these nasty hordes of nightmarish creatures.

Played some Ratchet and Clank. The Hoverboard Race was unexpectedly weird. It just threw you in there. No tutorial or anything, but I manage to win the race.

Sadly, I didn't know how to do the Breast Expansion Easter Egg.

Lol, I heard about this one, actually it was a Google accident after Pipe Bros of the French forums kept stumbling upon that character while searching about something else related to Ratchet.

You should try getting into a Dark Souls game (or Bloodborne) if you haven't already. They're awesome.

Been playing Ratchet and Clank daily. It's so damn fun. Really can't wait to play the other games in the series.

I have a friend whose crazy about that series. I've played a bit of Bloodborne but I haven't dived far enough into it. I would love to explore the series eventually but I don't know if I'm ready to devote enough time to such a large franchise, especially since I go back to college very soon.

Well I just ended up beating Kirby Planet Robobot and it was pretty fun.

Unfortunately it feels like the easiest Kirby game to date. Personally I enjoyed the game more than Triple Deluxe, but is it me or have the Kirby games felt really lacking lately? Don't get me wrong, I loved Planet Robobot but it was really piss easy, and even short on top of that. I think a lot of the hidden collectible 'code cubes' were very poorly hidden. That's the problem I have with the level design of Planet Robobot, if you aren't going for the code cubes at all, the levels are INCREDIBLY straight forward, as these puzzles introduced through out the levels are practically DESIGNED specifically for the code cubes, otherwise you can skip through a bunch of obstacles. I think Kirby was in his prime during the GBA and DS era personally.

Part of the problem is that they've wanted to replicate the success of the NSMB series in different ways since Return to Dreamland, which also means making the games easier and less complicated.

It's still fun, but I'd argue it's not nearly as memorable as something like fighting Marx or riding Wheelie from a falling Halberd. Something I always took from the earlier games too was that Kirby seemed to be sort of chaotic neutral, like he'd devour and and annihilate literally anything in his path; whereas since RTD shown much more sympathetically with old enemies being his good buddies and the new enemies being too vague or caricature to be seriously intimidating. I guess Kirby used to be a bit more hardcore...
