What do you mean? That some tracks are MIDI and some are not? That some of the tunes were composed using a MIDI synthesizer (and not live instruments)? In case you don't recall them, most of them are queued at "athletic" sections of individual areas alongside the produced ambience track of whatever world you're in. Others include the level-loading music and the boss victory theme (the second and third tracks in this video).
