Mmmh, if you don't find that worrying to see hundreds of people lurking on their screens in the streets and that you don't actually compare this to a zombie, we all have our opinions.

So, because a large group of people are participating in an activity that involves walking or running, you call them zombies. I guess this also applies to demonstrations and city marathons alike.
