Re: Your last dream
Lol, mine are rarely better, when they're not about shooting/surviving/investigating, they're basically about parts of me taunting me, when you wake up, you feel depressed or empty and you know that it is a bad day that is going to start.
I'll tell you one that is probably of the same kind, I was walking on a stone bridge, with downward the void, it was very dark and for some reason I kept walking, I calmly started to, for some reason, call the name of a girl I'm in love of, and I was hearing back my voice, like if there was an echo, and I did so three times, while walking, at seperated intervals of course, and nothing when suddenly all I was able to see was like smoke, orange smoke, and I was sitting on a chair with an open window forward to me and a bookcase on my left, and she was on my right, smiling at me, she was also on a chair, and I smiled too upon seeing her, and, I was watching her eyes and it was like some kind of magical moment because I really could see love, and when I was about to touch her cheek to kiss her everything was just in fact an illusion and vanished like swept by the wind through my hands as I tried to hold it, to finally find myself on the top of the void again, and the platform I was standing on collapsed as I felt in the infinity...
In the morning when I woke up, my hand was still like if it tried to touch something and the first thing I've done upon waking up was gripping.
That day I really felt like if that dream was some kind of "Fuck You" from the universe and I remained depressed until I slept again, "I must pay for the sins of a previous life" I mumbled to myself.
It was some time ago already, my most recent dream involved me having to infiltrate a group of neo-nazis for the police.
About your dream, it could have been worse, at least Taylor Swift's hot, it could have been much, much, worse.

Re: Your last dream
Darn, that sucks. About the Taylor Swift dream, it could've easily been some 400 pound middle-aged woman that looks like Rosie O'Donnell. I wonder if the "immediately go back to sleep to continue the dream," does actually work. I could've done that to potentially continue the romantic dream and see where it took me and Taylor

Re: Your last dream
Isn't it actually worse to dream of a really hot girl and wake up to realise nothing actually happened? I'd much rather dream of Nicki Minaj and wake up to the huge relief that we never crossed paths.

Agreed, and this wasn't the only dream of that type.Ray502 wrote:Darn, that sucks.
Sometimes, if you think about it and if the dream is fresh enough, which happened sometimes to me and caused to go back straight back into the nightmare I was in.Ray502 wrote:I wonder if the "immediately go back to sleep to continue the dream," does actually work. Well, to be honest I dunno, I guess it depends on how the dream goes and what it involves, I agree that sometimes it can be frustrating while at other times it can be heartwarming. But it ain't good when your brain puts what is out of your reach forward to you and sort of says "You'll never be able to get it bitch, lol" this is more depressing than anything else.Hunchman801 wrote:Isn't it actually worse to dream of a really hot girl and wake up to realise nothing actually happened ?
Erm, aren't you under the control of your actions in your dreams ? Do be honest I'd be more worried about meeting one of her fans https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gg-FkLHaXyk than anything else.Hunchman801 wrote: I'd much rather dream of Nicki Minaj and wake up to the huge relief that we never crossed paths.

Re: Your last dream
Fortunately this time I had a more realistic dream late last night. I was in a dance hall with a bunch of teenagers, it was pretty dark and a slow song was about to play, and I saw a beautiful girl sitting alone, so I sat down with her and we talked and laughed. Later we decided to dance....Sounds normal right? Well, the dance we all had to do was move our arms in a circular motion. No seriously, we didn't even do the normal slow dance
Cool thing is though that the girl was someone I danced with a couple times.
Re: Your last dream
Lol. To be honest I don't recall a single dream in which I danced, I don't think it ever happened to me.

For some odd reason, I was dreaming about watching Doctor Who, and then the SG1 Credits were playing. I don't really know why that happened.

Re: Your last dream
Silly stuff like that happens to me quite often!
Dreamed last night that I had to take another exam in Electromagnetism (which I did last semester). The material wasn't the problem, I enjoyed it. The problem was that I was at home, and yet expected to abide by certain assessment regulations. I had trouble with this, since it was the weekend. It was so absurd I sort of refused to believe it was happening, so I didn't really pay much attention to the regulations. Yet I knew the consequences could be grave… Towards the end I realized it was October, and the date on the exam earlier in the dream had been May. So then my suspicions were confirmed, this ridiculous situation hadn't actually befallen me! I woke up soon after, which made me feel even more relieved!
Also I think my dead kitten made a cameo. That was also something which I refused to believe was happening, since I knew he was dead and had seen his corpse. Yet I continued not thinking I was dreaming. I don't know if this semi-lucid refusal to believe thing is symbolic of something…

Last night I actually had a dream that Jewish Candy re-appeared on the forum under the name "Jewcan", falling the modern forum stereotype of contracting once-longer names.
Re: Your last dream
My last dream.
Everything began in Las Vegas, there was some similarities with the Jason Statham's Wild Card movie because as I fought some street punks I made a direct reference to the film, but afterwards everything changed, I was called for a police investigation and I had to go in another state probably Washington or somewhere near Baton Rouge, it wasn't mentioned, as a corpse was found at nighttime severly mutilated in a swamp in a dumped car.
I was then dispatched into some kind of house nearby in order to investigate, I soon discovered that the killer was still around and that he was playing with me, it looked a bit like a sordid circus, I could hear the buzz of circular saws around me and all the doors were violently opening and closing like by wind and I could hear a loud sadistic laugh surrounding me.
Surprisingly, I don't remember how, I managed to escape that shit.
And after talking to some co-workers that brought me to a hospital I received a call from hq asking me and a team to visit a nearby manor to check some weird things happening around.
We entered the mansion only to find out that the place has been the playhouse of a serial killer that killed all his victims here.
We stared to go around the house, only to find some mutilated corpses rotting here, some were skinned.
Going upstairs there was a dark rooms with an orangish light inside, I entered with a female teammate to see a pool that has lighted by a blue light, I saw some kind of tunnel inside it, so I took a swim in it, at the end of the tunnel I found a cut foot, that I brought to the women that awaited out of the pool, she took the foot and put in in a plastic bag cause it was evidence, and I continued to look in the house, in the west wing of the house I found a small room that looked like a doctor's office, so I open the door only to find a cadaver with his chest and belly open and the higher part of the cranium open revealing the brain. (It looked like a corpse seen in Counter Strike deleted scenes in the second mission) after seeing this I almost barf and the other forensics arrives.
We see a camera in the room conncted to a room nearby, so we turn the computer on and we see what the killer looks like.
He has a phone in his hand and talks to a guy saying what he has done was necessary to make a medically accurate game.
Soon after I'm taken out of that universe greeted by a dude working for holywood saying that I just experienced in VR the next series that was going to make billions of views and dollars.

Yeah, they're pretty b-movie styled now I think about it.
Well in most of my dreams I'm under the control of my actions, and I'm sometimes given the opportunity to go to limbo if I'd like switch to another dream or get out if it gets too bad for me.
But when they come up they usually suck me like spiraldoors without giving me the choice.

Well ain't you lucky, I don't think of one where I was in control of my actions, nightmare or great dream. Maybe the one where I was running away from rattlesnakes I was able to control my running and screaming.incognito wrote:Well in most of my dreams I'm under the control of my actions, and I'm sometimes given the opportunity to go to limbo if I'd like switch to another dream or get out if it gets too bad for me.

Re: Your last dream
Had some weird dream where I became friends with a really short comedian guy who was performing nearby (At my School? I've been out of compulsory education for like 3 years, but y'know, dreams), largely via him liking what I did with his music stuff. Kind of a common theme in my dreams, since I can compose stuff pretty easy in my head, but have no understanding of notation/ability to get it out in real life. Anyway, said comedian may have also been some kind of strange, supernatural entity or something? Or at the very least from a long line of re-incarnations of a single guy given a blessing in ancient times by a god of some sort. Real friendly, stand-up sort of fella off-stage, it seemed. Also later on some super-evil dude tried to take advantage of the 'powers' he had and got his ass kicked by what was essentially Aang from Avatar going into the Avatar State after I complained about the dude being OP.
And to think, for comedian man's repeated importance in the overall story, this was one of my more coherent dreams.

Re: Your last dream
I had a surprising nightmare.
It didn't really start as a nightmare. It was just a movie about an alien invasion. Big flying saucers over cities, destroying building, etc, etc. Kind of violent, kind of family friendly, like a Michael Bay or Emmerich movie.
Then the dream followed a group of survivors, and lost track a bit. It became a zombie invasion. My subconscious is a terrible movie writer. At best, sometimes, it's a creative director. But don't trust it to keep a narrative consistance.
Anyway, the atmosphere was still here: cities in ruins, end of civilisation, gunfights, blablabla. Actually it was kind of looking like a Telltale game, with choices and rail shooter phases. I even died at some point, with a lot of blood as a zombie tear off my rib cage. But it was okay: it was in third person, I didn't felt anything since it was a video-game, and I just reload from the last checkpoint a few minutes earlier.
Then the dream suddenly got interesting! After a fight, we were trying to escape to another city through a deserted country road, at sunset. We thought there was no zombies around, but we soon were proved wrong when we saw a group of three ones. But ah, they weren't just zombies, they were children zombies.
That frightened me.
See, we're now used to zombies as just some monsters that you can just shoot at. Pop-culture efficiently democratized the idea of those human creatures that are evil thingies that have to die anyway.
And we rarely see children zombies, for the good reason that… They're somehow more humanized than adult zombies.
It took me completely by surprise in the dream. Those kids weren't "zombies" in the usual meaning of the term. I saw in them actual people, diseased, probably suffering, losing control of their own conscience. As every zombies, their bodies were jagged and covered in blood, their eyes looked dead inside, and they seem to have barely the force to walk and groan. But I already saw that with other zombies! Except that time, it was kids. 8 years old boys and girls. And that suddenly makes it terrifying. For the first time in the dream, I tried to imagine how being contaminated could feel like.
And of course, as any other zombies, they were dangerous. That's the thing that makes the scene really scary: those zombies are horrible as victims as well as threats. The most innocent day-to-day figure turned into a monster.
They were just walking slowly, so we thought we could outrun them easily. The idea of being eaten by zombie children was creepy. Unfortunately, we had to climb a steep hill. Of course, nightmare being as jerkish as they can, when I checked how far behind the zombies were, I discovered they were just at my side.
And I woke up.
Overall, this was just another random dream. With fragments of movie, game, pop culture…
But it had this single idea that made it really powerful. And actually… It might not be a terrible idea, for once! Zombies are so common nowadays, it's hard to make them really disturbing, even if some succeed to achieve it. I don't usually dream of monsters, and they're not the things that scare me (even if I'm actually scared of everything). Yet, this exception didn't disappoint me at all. It's a really creepy and simple concept.

Re: Your last dream
I just had a short yet very strange dream during a nap.
I was at the desk in the study in my house holding a pencil about to draw something. I pushed the pencil onto a piece of paper to start drawing but the pencil went straight into the desk as if it were made of polystyrene, and it slipped from my fingers and slid through the hole. I tried peering into the hole but it was pitch black and it felt like a cold draft was blowing against my eye.
So I went to get some things to experiment with it, like nails and pins that I could drop through, and when I came back about a minute later I looked through the doorway of my study to see it had grown into a huge circular black hole that looked like it was floating just in front of the desk, facing in my direction. An incredibly strong, cold wind was blowing from the hole and sending things flying out of the room.
I tried fighting against the wind and as I did I suddenly felt kind of competitive, and had a stronger and stronger urge to "beat" the force of the wind by running into it without it pushing me back, and so I tried running into the hole. Suddenly the wind stopped blowing, everything went silent, and I tumbled uncontrollably into the hole which shut behind me like a mouth closing.
I remember it being pitch black and cold and I was free falling, and then I woke up.
It was especially strange because I hardly ever remember any of my dreams, I can't remember the last dream I had prior to this, yet this one felt incredibly real.

Funnily enough I just recently saw the Simpsons Halloween show with a segment like that. You didn't happen to see it too?
Otherwise, sounds like your mind's telling you you're hellbent on doing something that'll lead to your destruction, even though several forces are trying to stop you. But I guess you might have figured that out already...

Re: Your last dream
Had a dream my Dad had some asshole brother who was secretly living under my bed with his knowledge because he was threatening our lives otherwise. Then some weird terrorist group attacked some place I was on a field trip(?) to and it might've had something to do with said brother? They were mostly white dudes and wore kinda sporty, futuristic looking gear. Almost looked like Overwatch characters, which is weird since I've never played that game.
