I'm guessing the first pic is an earlier build of the game, the second Rayman looks already a lot like the beta Rayman 1 Jaguar sprite, but I can't find the damn pics! I know they are somewhere in the Rare Rayman Pictures thread, if I recall they were posted along the screenshots of that Black Guy with a cigar

Apparently it's Frédéric Houde who found the prototype, and he's posted a video on it on his private facebook account. There's a link on NeoGAF, but it can't be viewed by us non-friends. Let's just wait until he or someone else makes it public before sending him friend requests, shall we?

Also, judging by the new info, I'm guessing this is an earlier proto of the game, who knows one day maybe we're going to find a later version of it, hopefully with the beta Mr Skop , Still I'm hyped to see the video, the level looks beautiful!

According to that guy, there isn't much in the demo:

Second, for those who think it's gonna be released, what was found is a single prototype level with no enemies, not a finished game. The SNES was dropped early in the process. It's not a game, it's just Rayman running around.

Maybe it only contains that purple world and the others like the forest and the Caves of Skops were lost after all.

Looking at it in motion, it looks an abandon lab of some sorts. Anyone notice the "FIGHT THE VIRUS" scrawled in the background? It's also scrawled in the final continue screen. Another nod to the computer world idea?

Hm I wonder what makes his body squeeze like that in the first time he jumps, and as It seemed Ancel said this is one of the first roms they burnt, meaning that there is no reason to post it online because it's so basic, hopfully we'll get to see more.

Rayman did lose a lot of weight before his final appearance in the R1 game !

I guess all that breakdancing when he turns on the radio helped I think he's too darn cute when he breakdances and jumps, also the more I see that level the more it gives me organic caves vibes.
EDIT: Ancel just said on Instagram that the world indeed takes place in a computer as we know, but he said that Rayman was apparently an employee inside of it, maybe this is an even earlier storyline than the Jimmy one

@ginji59 You're right , Rayman looks ugly because it's my original version , just before we hired pros artists. But now looking back at his ugly face , I love him anyway .

@theredpika Yes I can't believe it . We were two 19 years old indie devs , Frederic houde was coding using assembly language and I was doing the visual part .
