Erm, ^'s mixed ^s tags there.
< wonders what these reasons are, < knows GNOME is supposed to be a Desktop Environment, but <'s knowledge of Linux software is meagre at best.

Re: The You Game!
< is wondering if < should go to sleep just to have to go through the painful process of waking up in a couple of hours for school or just go through with the all-nighter. In other words either feel shitty all day or feel ok until the complete lack of rest creeps up on < and causes < to die of exhaustion...

GNOME's fucking hot.PluMGMK wrote:< is considering building GNOME "from scratch", the list of reasons to do so is mounting.
As a matter of fact if < wasn't using AwesomeWM (Thanks Lovy) I'd be using either GNOME, XFCE or WindowMaker.
< made a dream about Lew from Unbox Therapy, for some reason he introduced a wrist computer that was hundreds of time better than the one < plans to build and the thing was only costing 100$ while <'s is about 300€.
Good side of this is that < has been thinking about what to add to it to make it perfect, and in addition the concept of the product Lew Unbox was... Beautiful, so much that he unscrewed everything to show the components.
Weird dream, but on the overall, not so negative because it gave < ideas.

< has no idea what potholing is, Google states that it's synonymous with spelunking, but < doesn't think that's what ^ meant

< was referring to the TV tropes practice, and definitely should have self-demonstrated, even if it meant risking another BBcode fail.

Re: The You Game!
As for why < wants to build GNOME, < knows it's where all the cool stuff is happening in terms of Wayland, so building it and applying appropriate patches (those which are being slated for inclusion in Fedora, like pointer locking and support for NVidia's proprietary driver) would enable < to turn <'s Linux from Scratch system into something more suitable for gaming, without stepping backwards to using X11.
(< guesses that hasn't cleared things up much.

Re: The You Game!
< should probably head over to the Linux thread and explain more, like start from the basics so people know wth < and inco talk about, if they want to.
