Plants vs. Zombies

Post by Shadowrayman »

Hi guys,
I made another off topic thread this ones about a game that I play and like, Plants vs. Zombies. It's a tower defense game where you get to defend your house from zombies. You can talk about plants vs zombies on this topic but don't go off topic I want this to be a success.
Starting now
Also, if you are wanting to talk about PvZ 2, sorry this is the first game's topic, I would make a PvZ 2 topic soon but I might not have the chance. Ok let's start this topic.

Come now, a little humour is far from rude. And on the topic of reporting, you've yet to do something in regards to your large sig. Both Serza and myself have already politely asked that you use a smaller version of it as your signature. Your signature currently is so large that it's larger than this post and my own sig combined.

Oh so sorry for thinking you were being rude, I'm so sorry what is wrong with me lately. :(
Also your joke made me kind of made me happy after you told me it was a joke. :D

But you and Serza never told me about that but I checked if you posted it on sotm #90 and you did. I just never got a notification from you. I don't get notifications from replies, I only get notifications from quotes for some reason it might be a glitch because I used to get notifications from replies but now it doesn't work it only works for quotes and also I will use my resized sig
EDIT: let's get back to topic this is a disgrace we are talking off topic everyone delete your posts so we can talk about some PvZ

You can't delete posts, but I agree, let's give this topic a chance.

If memory serves, PvZ is made by PopCap right? I remember I used to love their games as a kid, they made Bejeweled, Alchemy, Mummy Maze and Insaniquarium, to list a few from the top of my head.

Huh, that looks crazy, I was under the impression that Plants vs Zombies was a sort of tower defense sort of game.

No that's survival mode on the DS version, where lots of zombies come and you have to survive for 10 flags (5 flags on easy survival mode I was playing survival pool hard)
Also the DS version is known to have bad graphics like the DSiware port. The DSiWare port is horrible compared to the other ports, because lots of modes and items are removed.
EDIT: you know you can upload your screenshots of the game you know. :D

I used to have a lot of fun with this game on my old phone. I guess you didn't know it, Plants vs Zombies had an official traditional mobile phone version. It was exactly the same as the PC version, all the animations and levels were the same.

I was really impressed in how could all that fit in such an old phone. That's the time when games didn't even reach 1 MB... So it was a lot of fun back then.

Here's a screenshot to prove my truth :D

It wasn't released on one specific device, it was available for (most of) the Java-based phones to purchase. I am sure you had a mobile like this too, these were the phones before smartphones appeared, it wasn't that long time ago (~2000-2009).

Anyway, I don't think too much people have played this version, not even on this forum, so it might be unnecessary to put it in the poll. But in the case you'd like to, you could just write 'Java mobile' or 'Traditional mobile phone'.

You forgot? I thought you didn't know this version, since you asked for its name. Whatever. I voted again.

Recently I went to my friends' house and we were looking in his shed and found Plants vs. Zombies for the PC, it was the GOTY version of the game, we loaded it into his computer and it seemed to be updated  it showed the EA logo and his saved data was lost, the zombies on your lawn music video shortened where it showed the creator George Fan, we researched more of it and it on the web it said EA wanted to get rid of George Fan in the credits but PopCap got angry so instead they shortened that part. Stupid EA they even removed the original iOS version from the App Store. :grrr: EA even fired George Fan, me and my friend were raging. Who agrees that EA should have not fired George Fan/taken over PopCap?
