Re: The You Game!
Well if there are sign-ups, it could be possible to limit access to the wiki for just those people, right? But then, what if they log off… Still, if we had a "no-RayWiki" rule I think people could be trusted for the most part.

< wonders what would be the point to cheat into the TTQ.

Re: The You Game!
The problem with RayWiki is that it's very good to source questions from, but it's also easy to find answers from it. Hence why TTQ can turn into a race. < wouldn't necessarily call it cheating, but < agrees that it does prevent a fair game. As for blocking RayWiki, < can ban members, but it's still accessible. <'d imagine a more intricate block would be needed, and that's something <'s not capable of, and <'s not sure if Humch would consider it worthwhile to implement.
< could try implementing a no RayWiki rule, but in honesty, < feels it's too big a temptation.

Re: The You Game!
< almost never participated to the English TTQ so < doesn't really know if there's a problem with cheating or not currently.
< says there's a rule against using the RayWiki to answer to the questions in the French TTQ and it seems to be working pretty well.Master wrote:< could try implementing a no RayWiki rule, but in honesty, < feels it's too big a temptation.

Re: The You Game!
Don't get < wrong, < isn't trying to be paranoid or accuse players as cheats, < just feels that RayWiki is too tantalising a temptation to the point where its use is inevitable. And doing so, in an environment where rule-abiding players would not use it, would cause an unfair advantage that may not be easily discerned by the quizmaster.
Therein lies <'s issue, < is more than happy to implement such a rule, but the moment one person decides to ignore it, the game is unfairly tipped in the person's favour, and it wouldn't be easy to tell.

< didn't get you wrong but < just couldn't know what's up with the English TTQ since as < said previously < almost never check it.

Re: The You Game!
It no biggie, <'s just explaining that while < understands what's been suggested, < isn't sure it'd be easy to work in practice.

< is sure we pointed out somewhere using the RayWiki to answer to the TTQ is forbidden.

Re: The You Game!
If a RayWiki rule ever got implemented, it would for sure show the competitors their true, pure knowledge of Rayman. < likes the idea, but there is a lot of variables that go into it. The secret, scan the competitors computer/phone to see if they have been on RayWiki.
< suggests more for the 100th season. A shorter time limit per question, 10 hours, instead of a day.

Re: The You Game!
< thinks for the time being, <'ll rule out the RayWiki factor, it's a nice idea in theory, but a potential nightmare in practice. <'s got a few more thoughts about this special edition, so < will be switching to the Quiz thread again.

< switched to TTQ topic again, offering more detail and questioning of the basis of competition.

And what is that question, Harpic?
< is having one of those weeks where < is constantly thirsty. < is going to make some pink lemonade and if that don't help enough, < will make some chocolate milk.

Re: The You Game!
This is <'s question : "In which Rayman games can you see telescopes or binoculars?". This isn't like if it was a really hard question.

Re: The You Game!
Hmm, that is actually a rather interesting question, though < imagines you'd see those in some spin-offs like the Learning Games, < probably wouldn't know every answer to that one.

Re: The You Game!
< is hopeless. < can't even concentrate long enough to compete a single test question. < wonders why < never feels anxious or never worries, and if that's actually a good thing. Bleh. <'s even procrastinating right now.
< just realised < seems to be able to read faster with one eye than the other, < wonders if that's got to do with which hemisphere of the brain is receiving the message quicker or if < is just imagining it

< is absolutely in love with Mario Odyssey, it reminds < so much of Mario 64 and Sunshine.
