< does hope there's more commitment from other members. < wouldn't be too disappointed if it didn't come to fruition, but they would be missing out. Time will only tell.

^ can use ones from previous season, since < don't feel like translating a bunch of questions that were already answered in older seasons.

< thinks other folks might find use in having a database of their own questions.

Re: The You Game!
< is going to create a database of <'s questions. < admits that < starts to run out of ideas for questions during the latter part of the quiz, resulting in similar and easier questions.

Re: The You Game!
Try not to become overreliant on it though, otherwise folks might get wise. < adds to it whenever < comes up with a new question, sometimes < comes up with something when < isn't hosting, and < will add it in when < can.

Re: The You Game!
<'s been rather quiet today, been working on some project stuff.
<'s tried to write a program that'll take data from a text file, read it in line by line, then write that data to a database. It's not formatted with a clear pattern, there are spaces of varying lengths between fields, so < ended up splitting up by spaces, then removing the remaining spaces in the list. Once each field was obtained, then < could generate an SQL query to add them to the database.
Sadly, < didn't realise how much data was in the text file, there are 4 million records. Still, it might aid <, since a part of <'s project was to look into libraries that aid in the processing of large datasets.

< has been lazy, not getting ahead in completing enough assessments/exams like < always does. But < has been able to complete everything before the end. Many, many times.PluMGMK wrote:< wonders what happened.
Question, has anyone ever had a problem where you learn something, but it just leaves the brain after a while? < has that problem for about a year and a half now.

Re: The You Game!
That pretty much describes the first half of <'s second year in college! < thinks it's because < had to readjust after first year, which was mostly rehashing stuff < already knew…

Re: The You Game!
Pretty much, <'s first year at uni was a breeze. <'s second year was extremely challenging in comparison. <'s current year is most challenging still, and there are a few modules which < won't be able to apply a leisurely approach to.
