Re: Your last dream

Strange, I never thought about hanging out with more than one specimen of the opposite gender, subsequently I never dreamed about it, although if I make an analysis of your dream it might mean that they're all representations of the past and that a fairly new love should come into your life, and that you have to acknowledge having been cockblocked with all the previous ones. (I cannot leave a post without making such kind of comment.)

So, no recent dreams lately but one came back into my mind and was pretty strange, I woke up in a village next to a mine in a canyon, I had an unusual gear, looking like a N7 suit of mass effect and a different helmet. I had a blaster rifle on my back, without further indue I started to explore my environment, I met a few workers, working near a huge pipe, and a few supervisors on the top of stairs just on my left on a glass floor. For some reason I was given the quest of bringing something from the valley, so I accepted, I took out my blaster rifle and I left the village, I followed the pipeline. After some meters I was knocked out from behind and I woke up disarmed almost naked and tied to a table, unable to move, so I yelled "Holy shit ! Just get me out of there!" A woman appeared and took her clothes off, she told me
"You know what I'm about to make to you, right?"
I answered "While one part of me would be willing to do that to you untied, I think I'll decline the proposal."
She approched me slowly while I struggled and growled trying to make the table I was tied on fall on the ground (my screams were extremely similar to Isaac Clarke's in Dead Space 1 what the...)
And she sat on me and while I was still struggling and about to probably be raped she punched my face several times and I woke up. What the shit ?!

You're dreams are, very, detailed. Someone like a reporter should interview you about all of the most fascinating and unique dreams you've had.

None for me as right now yet, but sooner or later I'll experience one that involves being in peril with some animal or object. Or the classic dream where it involves some girl in a PG to PG-13 rated dream.

Had a nightmare in which my beloved kitty was genetically engineered into an unholy plant/animal hybrid with predictably tragic results.

Hmm, wonder how it would have turned out if the cat became a cyborg. I remember that being a thing in a game, but I can't remember what it was.

Speaking of cats, I once had one when I was 4. She scratched my face. So we threw her out. That wasn't a dream.

Though I do wonder when I will have the next dream I will remember. I don't remember this long of a stretch of weeks where I haven't had more than one I could remember. Maybe with the Valentine's dance coming up in less than 3 weeks, I will have a dream that might tell me how it will be like.

Heh, reminds me a similar dream I had some years ago that happened in a party, but since I am what I am Zombies came out of nowhere and tried to kill everybody.
I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find it written somewhere on the forums.

Monday or Tuesday night I had a silly dream about politicians (Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney to be precise).

I had one last night, and it felt like it lasted for an hour. So I was in a mixture of a church and a department store, and me and bunch of teenagers were there doing many activities. For some reason, I talked to few, and only 2 of my friends joined me. Surprisingly, there was no hanky panky in the place, I came to that conclusion since me and 2 unknown people were walking in circles around the building. We accidentally entered into the ladies bathroom, and after we found out, we just walked around again like nothing happened. We went in several rooms where a bunch of teenagers were just sitting there. I have no idea why that all happened.

Or it could just be the fact that we've been discussing teeth here lately.
Nothing last night for me it seems. :|

I had a really cool dream where I was eating some people in a forest, and the ground was really uneven. For some reason I was really good at parkour and I jumped across the rim of a muddy cliff, then jumped and grabbed a branch. Then to take a short cut I dropped about 20 feet and grabbed another branch, then swung down and won the race.

I'm pretty sure I can relate this to a racing game I was playing where I jumped over the edge of the track as a short cut. Come to think of it, I can't remember a single dream in my life that was not related or "inspired" by videogames.

Edit: I somehow put eating instead of racing but I had to leave it in

I had a boring one late last night. I was outside with a couple of my friends, and we decided to go inside a huge mall. The cars looked different, and then someone clears that up by telling us that we were in the UK. As a 16 year old, I don't know how that happened. So me and my friends were exploring the mall, and then do some chatting on the comfy chairs. We were then later outside again, and exploring the outside world.

Nothing exciting.

Had one of those dreams last night where I'm back in school, doing an English exam. As usual the whole thing got convoluted, with me leaving the school and still having it hanging over me (based on stories of provisions that can be made for very sick students). The interesting part is that in the middle of it all I met Barack Obama for some reason! I concluded that he was even cooler than I'd been led to believe, but I don't remember why…

In my last dream I was on a pirate ship with a crew, half of them my age and half of them adults. We went under the deck and one of the adults was teaching us young'ns to sword fight, and suddenly the ship was ripped in two by something, maybe a wave or a rock.
As far as I remember, I was taken underwater by a current and ended up in a pitch black underground cavern full of gold.

It reminded me very much of an audiobook I had when I was young.

Edit:

Had another pretty cool dream, I was basically playing some kind of puzzle game with a bunch of random people (including 2 friends I haven't seen in ages and some celebrity I forgot the name of) where you have to take turns picking up and putting down these 1 metre cubes (or more make them disappear and then create them out of thin air like in a videogame). So in some ways you have to work together, but in the end only one person can win so you have to screw everyone over at the last second and you have to work out in advance how to do so.

I remember the particular puzzle in my dream was actually really clever and a good idea for a level design in a game, bit I've forgotten it now :(
Something to do with building a stair case as a team then doing something to block everyone else off from the exit.

Was that inspired by the gameshow "The Cube"? That seems to mix CGI with real people doing stuff fairly liberally!

Had a fairly engaging dream on Friday night which was a result of watching the video Hoodcom posted about Micro$oft, reading Richard Muller's explanation of why we use AC instead of DC, and changing my "location" to include "Hillys" all in a short timespan. And working for a semiconductor company probably contributed too! Then at the end it transformed into something banal, as such things tend to do.

Haha, I don't think I've seen The Cube in years, I didn't know it was still on TV!
I think I was probably inspired by the PS1 game Intelligent Cube which I was (kind of) thinking about recently. Funnily enough I've never played it nor seen a video, but it's the only cube based thing I can remember thinking about recently.

Also, congratulations on 20k posts!

I think last night was one of those nights when I got stuck in layers of dreams that got me really confused. It seems I managed to sleep continuously for hours on end, and about half-way through I actually found myself worrying that my dreams were getting "too abstract".
Then after that there was something about a road trip in which my phone kept ringing and annoying me. At first I ignored it because for some reason I assumed it would be some far-right nut-job, but then I eventually noticed that it was from my university! I answered, and there was something about my refusing to turn up for an appointment, which I had actually completely and understandably forgotten about, but the person talking to me was really mean about it.
The levels of confusion must have remained though, because when I woke up it took me a while to figure out where I was! I continued to feel tired all morning.
I later realized that all the "meta" must have been inspired by my late-night reading back over old posts from late 2014 in which I recounted various surrealist and multi-layered dreams. Still shocking that it was powerful enough to disorientate me like that though!

I had a somewhat lucid dream recently, where I was walking down a street at night and I was really determined to get somewhere. It was as if the determination to fulfil whatever goal I had in my dream was enough to make me lucid, and actually start trying to fly to my destination to get there quicker. However, as has been the case before in my lucid dreams, I had trouble lifting off and never actually flew. I kept leaping off the ground and making more progress each time, floating slightly higher each leap, and imagining I was about to take off but it didn't work in the end and I think the dream must have just phased into some completely different situation as dreams tend to do.
Still, I don't think I've ever been in that sort of semi-lucid state where I'm conscious of being in a dream yet I'm still trying to reach my in-dream goal, when usually I would have realised it doesn't matter since it's just a dream after all.

Yeah, that's happened to me a few times too. I guess there's always the promise of something wonderful if you reach the goal, if you believe your mind can conjure it. I guess that wouldn't apply if the goal was some drudgery, but in that case I'm sure I for one would be only too glad to wake up!
