Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
I'm currently working on expanding the wiki with information and new pages regarding the events in Rayman Designer (which most of them appear in the original game as well). I'm however wondering how I should list the games they're in. Should I only list Designer, or should I list Designer, by his fans and 60 Levels? I personally think it's a bit unnecessary listing all three games, since By his Fans and 60 Levels are merely extensions to Designer (and usually come packaged with Designer as well), though they are also technically new games.

I'd say just Designer. For any event, there's no guarantee that it appears in both By His Fans and 60 Levels. I know it's highly unlikely that it wouldn't, but to be sure you'd have to play 100 levels, some of which are broken…

Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
Creating a list is a good idea, but I don't believe it should be a navigation template, mostly because a lot of articles have several slightly different elements linking to them.
Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
Oh... Well now I've already edited half the articles I linked there with the template. What would you suggest I should do instead? I know a lot of the events link to the same article, like the different types of clouds, so perhaps if I simply only have the first one being linked? Or is this not what you mean?

What I meant is that a navigation template's only purpose is to facilitate navigation. Just like duplicate links, unlinked text does quite the opposite of that.
Moreover, pretty much everything in games based on the original Rayman is a Designer event, which makes this template the biggest one I've ever seen (bad for ease of navigation), and also means we'd have to add it to almost every Rayman 1 article.
This template is far too generic and all-encompassing, and this information belongs in the Rayman Designer article instead.

Okay... So, I should move all the information from the template to the main Designer article, remove the template from all of the pages I added it to and perhaps replace it by a category instead?Hunchman801 wrote:What I meant is that a navigation template's only purpose is to facilitate navigation. When I move the information to the Designer article, can I simply copy-paste it, or does it have to be in a different style which is not like a navigation box? Like, what is the best way to have it in the article?

Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
Yep, good idea. A simple table without the colors should be good as far as styling goes.
Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
I made several tables in the Designer article for each event category now and it feels like it's taking up quite a lot of space. Should this perhaps be on a separate page, like "List of events in Rayman Designer"?
Also, I finished removing the nav-box template from all articles and replacing it with a category. So you can delete the template now since it's useless now.

Just deleted the template.
I'm not sure about mixing headers and tables, maybe we should go for one or the other. Though given the length of a list, a separate article might indeed be good thing. Any opinions?

Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
If you're asking me, then I'm all for having a separate page for the events. Either a "List of event from Rayman Designer" or one which is simply "Events (Rayman Designer)" (there's already an event page for Adventures). If we decide to have a separate page, it'll also mean there'll be more space for pictures etc.

Yeah, a separate page is probably a good idea. No real need for tables then.

Okay, so how about this then? https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Event_(Rayman_Designer)

Looks good to me, Carrot! I'll start watching gameplay of the 24 levels so I can add information to the ones that are stubs, and the levels that don't even have an article.
EDIT: I would need your approval first, since I know you are focusing on that as well.
EDIT 2: I forgot what I said and edited The Sky's The Limit and Ring a Ling, sorry.

No problem, I'm just happy to have others helping out on the wikiRay502 wrote:Looks good to me, Carrot! I'll start watching gameplay of the 24 levels so I can add information to the ones that are stubs, and the levels that don't even have an article.

I was at one point considering making a special level template for the Designer levels where there'd be images showing of which powers can be used in each level (similarly to how it's shown when selecting a user created map in Designer), though I couldn't find any good sprites for that. I might look into that some more later as well.
Edit: I found a few sprites for some of the power animations, but not all. Do you perhaps have any of those sprites from when you made your fangame? If we go on to make a level template, I also remembered that we can write the starting amount of lives which I believe is different in each level.

Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
I think you're given a set number of lives at the beginning of each world (can't remember if it's three or five) then you start each subsequent level with however many you have left at the end of the previous one. That's a significant part of the reason that the third and fourth levels can be so damn hard.
Re: Designer/by his fans/60 levels listed
Looking through my videos I made it seems that you're right and 5 seems to be the amount you begin with. Well, then it's only the powers (and music I guess) which differs between the levels.

Yes, I have all of Rayman's sprites, as well as other events in Designer like the blocks and balloons.
EDIT: If you want, I can PM you the files containing the sprites in PNG format, since I don't believe Raywiki will accept the original Sprite format, which is gmspr.
