More news, though still few: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/0 ... _on_switch
Re: Rayman Legends
If the touchscreen mechanic is only exclusive to portable mode, does this mean when the Switch is docked Murphy will be controlled with buttons like the Xbox and PS versions?

Re: Rayman Legends
That's what I've been wondering, which makes certain aspects like scratch tickets interesting.
Re: Rayman Legends
I'm wondering if the Murfy challenges will appear in this version, since it's meant to be the "definitive version".

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't really mind getting the Nintendo Switch to be honest but maybe I could if there's new content in the RL Definitive Edition.

Re: Rayman Legends
The scary thing is, even I'm considering it.
Re: Rayman Legends
I confess I'm torn between a PS4 and a Switch at this moment. The decision hasn't been easy. One thing is certain, buying a new console is not a priority in both short and middle term right now.

Re: Rayman Legends
If you seriously believe there's something else, you should be prepared for disappointment. I can smell already a big hiatus for Rayman. Maybe 3 or 4 years for the next game. The Amazing Rayman wrote:I honestly hope this isn't all we're getting this year but it probably will be
And it'll be 2d again, because in the mainstream audience nobody gives two flying shits about 3d Rayman anymore. Just the fans, which to be honest, represent a minority.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'm expecting Yooka-Laylee to shake up the industry's head regarding the overall absence of full 3D platformers in the present market which MIGHT pave the way for a future 3D Rayman game just as the number of dinosaur related game releases have significantly increased after Jurassic World became a massive hit and brought ze good old dinosaurs back into everyone's sight.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'm not saying you're lying, of course, but I can't name a single dinosaur game that's come out since Jurassic World, which probably means they weren't really that popular.

While the dinosaurs argument is weird as fuck.. you've got a point there. Yooka Laylee and Super Mario Odyssey may be able to bring back the open 3d collectathon genre. It's true, Rayman could go back to 3d, just the same way he went back to 2d due to the 2d genre's revival after New Super Mario Bros and Super Meat Boy.SpyroGuy wrote:I'm expecting Yooka-Laylee to shake up the industry's head regarding the overall absence of full 3D platformers in the present market which MIGHT pave the way for a future 3D Rayman game just as the number of dinosaur related game releases have significantly increased after Jurassic World became a massive hit and brought ze good old dinosaurs back into everyone's sight.

Also the not-so-random sudden revival of the Turok franchise with brand new re-releases of it's original entries and the hunter simulator Carnivores' re-release.
Re: Rayman Legends
I think the main problem is that video game industry is focusing on older audiences today. FPS, horror and action/adventure games are the most popular titles nowadays. While in the 2000s, there was a big market for games for children/teens. I think there should be more games for children today, it is quite sad to see them playing GTA 5.
Re: Rayman Legends
The Game is so cool but the way of controlling Murfy is pretty hard here is my Gameplay
well the reason why it is hard is because you have to focus on Murfy and Globox (well if I play...) O_o

Re: Rayman Legends
Well, the thing is that you get screwed over if your timing is off by a fraction of a second (Murfy will activate/deactivate the wrong thing).

Re: Rayman Legends
This is why the Murfy's Dungeon challenges are easier in the Wii U version. You only have to focus on Murfy in this version.
Re: Rayman Legends
I find them more annoying on a touchscreen because there are so many other things to keep track of then, like hitting the spiders on the walls to get Lums etc. And all the times on the leaderboards are so close (usually not even a second apart) because of the character running automatically. Well, at least on the Vita version, I've never played the Wii U one.Harpic fraîcheur wrote:This is why the Murfy's Dungeon challenges are easier in the Wii U version.
