Re: The You Game!
Well < understands that the earth pin goes straight down to the Earth which has a 0 potential so it sucks all of the electrons out of a circuit. A live wire has an alternating current which is produced from a power station and when a short circuit occurs, the electricity surges down the earth pin to the ground due to the large potential difference which breaks the fuse. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
What < doesn't get is the neutral. Supposedly making a circuit with the neutral wire and the Earth/earth pin will not cause a surge because neutral has the same low potential as Earth, but it has a high current? < doesn't understand how neutral can be safe (?) but also not cause a surge.

Dang, that sure sucks. Will ^ return it to buy another one?
< has wanted this day to slow down. So far, the opposite.

Re: The You Game!
Umm… Yeah, this has confused < too. But I think the thing is that neutral can be switched, and is connected back to the power network (and from there to ground, eventually). So it is not guaranteed to be connected to ground.Ambidextroid wrote:Well < understands that the earth pin goes straight down to the Earth which has a 0 potential so it sucks all of the electrons out of a circuit. (Also it doesn't necessarily suck electrons out – when live is positive it's technically pumping electrons in)

Luckily, Amazon have a fairly competent customer service, so they have issued a replacement

Nice. < wonders what TV ^ bought.
< was able to get more Axe products this week. Daily fragrance < got was Apollo, and antiperspirant is Phoenix. Chicks dig it.

Re: The You Game!
Funnily enough < had almost exactly the same experience with BG&E last weekend, even though this time it was justified by the fact that < was using a virtual machine.

In <'s opinion, it's a pretty good price for a 4K TV with HDR
Re: The You Game!
Between 2012 and 2015 < used to use Axe but, afterwards < decided to put some changes in his life and as a purely symbolic action < then switched to a less "aggressive" fragrance.Ray502 wrote:Nice. < wonders what TV ^ bought.

Re: The You Game!
< got this mindset where you go all in or go home as far as picking up ladies. < tried to be somewhere in the middle starting in late 2014, where <'s desire for a girl came at it's peak, and < stayed that way and didn't get a ton of great results. Since the middle of last year, <'s been going more aggressive, and it has somewhat worked, but not enough for a phone number or two, or eight, yet. In fact, < hasn't got out much lately, so < can't say if it has worked better than the somewhere in the middle approach.

Just be like <, ' independent of all <'s leads and purely ace, it's a lot more easy.Ray502 wrote:< got this mindset where you go all in or go home as far as picking up ladies. < tried to be somewhere in the middle starting in late 2014, where <'s desire for a girl came at it's peak, and < stayed that way and didn't get a ton of great results.
