I love it!

Kinda helpful to see the type structure of that level, which as a PC user I never bothered to consider. :P

Has anyone ever had success in using the Extended RD editor with Rayman Optimum? A message keeps popping up saying: "Find the path of your game," despite the folders being in the same location.

No idea about Optimum, but for me the extended editor has a bunch of problems (maybe Windows 10 related) which causes a lot of the information not to be shown. Are you sure you set the path to the "RayKit" folder though? You could also try editing the .ini file. This is what it says in mine:
[]
Path=C:\GOG Games\Rayman Forever\RayKit
Found=1

I have it working. You just have to set the path to the RayKit folder like Carrot-Master said. :wink:

Oh, never mind what I said about it not working on Win10. I had for some reason moved the .exe file without moving the rest of the files with it :P

Hmm, so I followed what you said about editing the .ini file, and it works now. Although, for some odd reason, the editor reads the .PCX files as if they were background files. The codes don't show up, and the mapper won't load.

You have to put the .exe file in the folder for the extended editor or else it won't load the files.

Sounds like you need to run as administrator.

Thanks, that fixed both the coding "bug," and edit map settings, but the mapper still doesn't load when I clicked "build maps," many times.

Well, I don't know where you've kept the folder now, but try moving it out of the RayKit directory and onto a place like your desktop (since that shouldn't require you to run it as admin). Otherwise you should maybe reinstall it in case you've lost a file somewhere now that you've been moving them around.

You can also start the Mapper manually from the Rayman Optimum's RayKit folder. It doesn't sometimes want to work through Extended RD editor.

Thanks you two! I have successfully created my first RD level in years! Before showing it to the Rayman world, there's one minor problem. In the event editor, once I linked the gendoors to the tings/clouds etc, and when I exit the editor after saving the event changes, the objects appear still, as if I never linked them to the gendoors. Seriously? Where's the logic in that?

It depends on how you exit the editor. If I remember correctly there are two ways of exiting (and therefor two ways of saving). One of them ONLY saves the event placement and will unlink everything you've linked, while the other one saves both. I don't remember which one is which, so you'll just have to try your way there until you find the right way of doing it. It's rather confusing actually and has ruined a bunch of my levels before.

If you save-and-exit with W, everything unlinks. You have to save with S, then either exit without saving with W or via the in-game menu.

Still doesn't work. It appears they unlink after I press A to exit the editor, even though I used S to save before exiting. It's not really a deal breaker, I made the appropriate adjustments to the level. It's disappointing nonetheless.

Are you sure you're right-clicking on the events to turn the links yellow?
