Live Action Shows
We all enjoy the cartoon shows that are on TV, but there's one kind of show that we haven't discussed, live action shows.
Do you watch them regularly? And if so what are your favorite live action shows? What are ones you saw but haven't found to be interested in?

Re: Live Action Shows
Well, I watch Doctor Who, but we've already got a thread for that. Other than that, erm...I dunno.
Re: Live Action Shows
I watch a lot of live action stuff. Only cartoons I'm really into are South park + Rick & Morty.
In terms if live action dramas, my all-time favourites have to be Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.
In regards to live action comedies, it's a tie between It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Office (UK).
Just finished re-watching all of It's always Sunny for like the 4th time and I'm enjoying season 12, which is currently airing. A lot of experimental episodes this season, with a few traditional ones too which are always welcome. I'm glad that despite being in its 12th season, the quality is still very consistent and the writing still on point.
Also watching Walking Dead season 7, which has been pretty hit and miss so far, but thankfully the 2nd half is showing promise. I'm finding Negan to be an exceptionally entertaining and brutal villain.
Looking forward to better call Saul season 3 in April,a s season 2 ended on a pretty intriguing cliffhanger. Also, season 7 of Game of Thrones in the summer which is my most anticipated thing ever atm!!

Re: Live Action Shows
Oh yeah, I don't think it counts as live action, but I'm into Robot Wars, which will be returning in March.

Re: Live Action Shows
Would the community think less of me if I were a regular watcher of a soap opera?
Also I've watched every episode of Frasier umpteen times, which is why references to it so often creep into my discourse.
But thanks to CBS not bothering to get music licences on this side of the Atlantic, I only discovered this scene recently, which altered my perception of Frasier's character.

Documentary person here. Mostly animal ones like the Dog Rescuers, but back when it was on I watched gross stuff like Embarrassing Bodies or those types of programmes that talk about the world's tallest or shortest people or people with head sized tumours.
Robot wars does count as live action what are you on about? ;P

If anyone hasn't watched Planet Earth 2, episode 5 is going to be available on iPlayer in a couple of days. I missed it so I can't wait!

Re: Live Action Shows
Doctor Who being the latest, newest one I've watched.
I like the older ones, like Home Improvement, Full House, Rosanne, The Nanny, Andy Griffith Show, and Family Matters.

Home Improvement? Same here!
Recently I've been watching Star Trek: The Original Series. Not a fan of the other series, I rarely watch any episodes from The Next Generation.

Watching season six of "24" - very tense, and overall a great season so far.

Do you even know what laser disc is?

Isn't that some kind of optical disc that stores audio and video data?Hoodcom wrote:Now I have to ask Ray502 since he's yet to respond to my post.

Re: Live Action Shows
Yep, before the time DVDs even existed... audio was digital, video was actually analog on those discs. They are the size of records.

I remember Regular Show actually did an episode about these older disc formats and the like.

Anyone ever watched the Computer Chronicles before? You can catch their episodes still on their YouTube channel.

I don't watch TV much, but some of my favourite live action shows are Red Dwarf, Takeshi's Castle, The Young Ones and Father Ted

Ah yes, that thing that wasn't very successful, but whose patent nevertheless allowed MCA to capitalize on every other optical disc technology that was developed in the following years!

Re: Live Action Shows
I guess another one I catch now and then would be The Big Bang Theory, while I do find it amusing, I still haven't actually watched all of it.
