Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
I thought 12 hours was tense enough. Anyway, why not use the forum for the tiebreaker too? Posts are still ordered by time.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Mostly just to ensure that both members get the message at the same time. Since threads don't update live, it'd become an f5 competition, I'd rather have as equal an opportunity to both members as possible.
I will however, post the excerpts once the game is complete.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Well you could as well post the exact time you're going to ask the question and they would know when to refresh... not that it matters much.

Vote Ray for the tiebreaker, Hunch! Need one more vote.
EDIT: Master, you should quote your post about the Finger round and that the team members need to vote on their team who will be the member to compete in the round.
EDIT 2: Oh, don't need to, Ambi was the decider instead.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
I did consider that too, but there's still less precision in doing so, as it'll be down to the players to refresh on time. I admit it is a little extreme, but I want to be as fair as possible.Hunchman801 wrote:Well you could as well post the exact time you're going to ask the question and they would know when to refresh... not that it matters much.
Indeed, quoting below:Ray502 wrote:Vote Ray for the tiebreaker, Hunch! Need one more vote.

I'd ideally like to get the Fastest Finger Round done before the weekend's end, but I'll be accommodating and put a voting deadline for 00:00 Monday 27th February GMT+0. Can all members please submit their votes as you did when voting your team captains, I'll send out PMs to remind folks, but please be attentive.Master wrote:Fastest Finger First. This is going to be a bit different. The key to this is to be quick, and will require equal footing. Consequently, I can't do this directly on the forums. As such, I propose using the IRC, it's still available, but disused. Both teams will nominate a player to play in this Fastest Finger Round, they will then agree a time with me to which they will be available to go on the IRC.
There will be three questions asked, and the answers will involve ordering items. For example:The member who answers first gains a point. The member who has the most points will have their team go through to the next round.A - Rayman 1
B - Rayman 2
C - Rayman 3
D - Rayman Origins
E - Rayman Legends
Q - Order the above by release date, from earliest to latest
A - ABCDE

So for the members who already voted have to vote again? I've received 3 out of 5 votes for me to compete in the Finger Round.

Well, they're free to vote, but if you've got the majority, then you're guaranteed to represent the team anyways.

I was about to ask for this.Master wrote:I will however, post the excerpts once the game is complete.
So in our team nobody's stepped forward to do the round, right? Who can I vote for! I'm quite a fast typer myself, but I'm afraid I might fluke the answers...! I know a lot, but my knowledge is mostly geared towards Rayman 1, 2 and 3 x)
Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Well, I can probably do it if no one else in our team is willing to, though I'd prefer if someone else was up for the task. It'd however have to be at least 2 hours earlier for me due to time zone differences.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Man, it feels sort of lame to "leave it up to somebody else" if everyone's so reluctant to do it. That's not the kind of tone I'd like to set in a friendly competition.
Master, could you give a clearer indication as to when this round would take place? I have an important deadline today and a party late in the evening, so I wouldn't really be availble today, but tomorrow could work for me very well, for example.
That's me signing up for candidate because I do feel like I would enjoy doing the round itself; my previous comment was just to gauge others on their knowledge of the series or their willingness to do the round. That is to say, if Tunderos or Carrot were eager to do this round, I was giving them a chance to step forwards, but if none of the others are "feeling it" for this one, I'll be more than happy to be our team's 'champion in battle'.
TL;DR
im not chicken
come fight me bro
(pls dont take offence; obviously all harsh words are meant in jest)

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
I believe the "when" is whenever both people are available. But that in itself could pose problems I guess. Shroob, if you think you'd like to do it then you have my vote. I think I'd surely screw it up, with my avalanches of typos and IRL cursing that seem to happen all too often these days.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Pretty much what Plum said, once both teams have their nominees, I intend to agree on a time. I want to get it done as soon as possible, hence why I put the deadline to today. Of course, I can extend it if needs be. But I don't want this to be stuck in limbo.Shrooblord wrote:Master, could you give a clearer indication as to when this round would take place? As for typos and spelling, don't worry. The idea is that you don't type out the answers, you type out the letter corresponding to the order. Remember in the example, the answer was ABCDE.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Hmm, while the deadline wasn't a fixed deadline, I would rather we stick to it. I still need someone from Team B, and we've got less than 8 hours to go.

My senses are sensing that there is some underlying intimidation towards going up against yours truly.
Are these questions multiple choice Master? Judging that by the example you gave.

Well my vote goes to Shroob anyway, since he's been the most positive about doing it (I think).

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
The idea is you put the items in order, perhaps this might explain it better: So, for the example question, you ordered the items by release date, hence ABCDE, which corresponded to (R1, R2, R3, RO, RL).Ray502 wrote:My senses are sensing that there is some underlying intimidation towards going up against yours truly.

Re: TTQ: Season 100 - ROUND ONE TIEBREAKER
Gotcha, that doesn't seem too hard to handle. Just for some heads up I''ll be available for the Finger Round anytime from 3:00 PM Central European time to 2:00 AM, Central European time.
