< says that it's one of the most beautiful bad films ever made and one especially to consider when you want to have a laugh with some mates

< is thinking of reviving a couple of topics that used to be active in <'s earlier days.

< would like to remind everyone that there are approximately six and a half hours left to sign up for the Quester RPG before the deadline closes! If you want in on the roleplaying action, do sign up and do so now!

A very clearly missed opportunity on EA's part. sadface
< will always remember that game and the lead-up to it. It was one of the more enjoyable experiences <'s had with the hype before a game's release. < was well into it.

< is very saddened by the fact they never made an "offline patch" to Darkspore, nor released the server's source code or something like that so player-hosted servers could have been a thing.Master wrote:DarkSpore was a topdown RPG, the only similarity with Spore was that it had a creature editor, and even that was nowhere near as featured as Spore's. < tried out the beta for it a while back, < didn't like it. It's dead anyways, since it was an always online game, and the online was taken down.Ambidextroid wrote:There's DarkSpore, but < only remembers hearing about its announcement and then never hearing from it againMaster wrote:From what <'s seen, it could've been so much more, but the final thing is still pretty fun. It's a pity they've not tried again, but < has been following the UniverSim, which seems to be working on a similar premise.

That is so cool!! < loves stuff like this. Very nerdy. Very fun. x)Ambidextroid wrote:< is designing a puzzle box that uses one of those rotary combination padlocks. On the top of the box is a wooden disc which is connected to the lock's dial, and surrounding it is another rotatable disk with runes around the inner circumference and a compass design around the outer edge. When you line the compass up correctly with a picture of the sun on the box according to a riddle, the inner runes also become aligned correctly and can be used to input a code using the central dial. The shackle of the lock pops open which pushes a block of wood like a latch and opens the compartment. Ta-dah!

As you can see Dart's ashamed of admitting that he's trying to impersonate me by wearing bandages.Ambidextroid wrote:< wonders what happened to ^ and hopes ^ is ok

Re: The You Game!
So, <'s watched the new series of Robot Wars and Top Gear.
Robot Wars hasn't changed too much since last year's series, but it feels as if the arena traps are far faster. The main interesting change is how the Pit release button also has a chance to instead allow the House Robots to go outside their patrol zones and attack competitor's robots for 10 seconds. It adds a nice element of risk, which < likes, the pit did feel a bit overused in the previous series. < also really enjoyed the battles, though it does seem like spinners are becoming the main robot-type.
As for the new Top Gear, < thinks it's definitely an improvement over Series 23. They've completely dropped the rusty aesthetic for the studio, and opted for a more modern looking and sleek look. It was quite a change to take in, but < thinks it'll grow on <. It's much better than the Series 23 studio, which < found to be a bad update to the prior era of the show. The presenters are much more likeable, but < does wonder if they're trying to emulate the old trio's dynamic. < did like their chemistry, and < does hope it continues to flourish and evolve. < sees they also tried to revamp the celebrity segment again, which < was always rather indifferent to for the most part anyways. < is however, particularly glad they got rid of that offroading track, and stuck with the original.
