That's not what I was told... why don't you go ask your buddy, Ad. Now quit talking garbage about me on the raychat, boy.

$300 from my family combined, and big difference between a christmas gift and getting something for free from your parents for no reason.

What's so special about Christmas exactly?

You're all jobless cunts. Shut the hell up.

Going back on topic, I love all the control schemes for the Switch. The single Joy Con, two Joy Cons combined on one Grip, and the Pro Controller. These are all well made and are very nice ways to play.

I'm not entirely sure what brought all this on, but I think it's best left to PMs or an external chat.

As for the Switch, I've been hearing that there's been issues with docking and the screen getting scratched. Then there's been stuff about dead pixels, which has riled some folks up. The general sentiment seems to be positive, but I hope Ninty doesn't allow these sort of issues to linger for long.

Yup, I was so concerned about the Dock scratching my Switch so I waited until my tempered glass arrived.

I never kid about protecting my devices' screens. Even the slightest scratch on my screen would ruin me.

I always referred to it as OCD but all collectors seem to absolutely fucking hate scratches of any sort, especially on a handheld device.

I hope Ninty is generous with repairs.

I've got my Switch with me on a trip and yeah, I wouldn't recommend it unless you've got a screen protector and carrying case. At least it'll teach a lot of kiddos to be more careful with their stuff. :P

It'll probably give parents a headache when it comes to hearing their young 'uns moan about it, though. It is a little disheartening to hear that the Switch is as susceptible to scratches as it is, given how Ninty usually has a rep for durable hardware. As for screen protectors, I had no idea you could get glass screen protectors, I thought there were only plastic protectors.

I'm just waiting for the console to get a restock, and I'm sooner to buy a screen protector for that thing than I am BOTW.

That thing seems WAY too fragile, really makes me wish Ninty would sell screen replacements. According to Reggie and other sources from Nintendo they said they had none of these issues while testing, so maybe the chance is slim? I'm going to assume that some people have possibly received some slightly slanted/defected docks that may have scratched the screens.... I guess time will tell.

Off topic, but for anyone who has been wanting to own a Wii U for quite some time now, or some of the games for it.... now would be the best chance to grab them. With Nintendo ceasing production of Wii U's, those things are gonna blow the fuck up in price, alongside the games. So get them now while you can.

Hmm, perhaps they didn't put it under as rigorous QA as normal, to make it for launch? I've heard that apparently, their separately sold docks are of lower quality than the ones that they bundled with the Switch SKU. More rumours are also abound saying that there's a similar variety of screen technologies used as the 3DS, where some use one type of LCD screen, and others use a different type. Again, can't help but wonder if this was all part of the rush to get the Switch out as quickly as possible.

Time will indeed tell whether those issues will remain, I don't think Ninty would be silly enough to let things be, though. Hopefully they can nip all these issues in the bud for future batches. For the time being though, I guess the Zelda hype has made it so that the Switch's shortcomings aren't quite as accentuated to the masses.

Without the joy-cons, the Switch fits nicely into a Club Nintendo's 3DS protecting bag :

Well I pulled a dummy this morning.

So mom's been playing Breath of the Wild on my switch, so we've been taking turns throughout the week. This morning I forgot to plugin the power well and when she tried using it while I was at work, she couldn't play it on the TV in the living room.

Though unfortunately dad's pup got ahold of the USB type A to type C cable that came with my pro controller and chewed it in half, where mom had it. :boon:

Ugh, dooooogs.... This is why I'm a cat person.

Perhaps Ninty could do with adding whatever they added to the cartridges onto the wires as well.

I just pre ordered the second shipment of Switches, without the help of my rich parents thank you very much!

Unfortunately I was forced to buy the more expensive bundle since they didn't have any of the console only in stock, but I'm glad Zelda BOTW and FAST RMX are being bundled with it.

Hmm, it's $299 for the Switch itself if memory serves. Hopefully I'm not prying, but how much did you end up having to pay?
