< has been thinking about black holes in general. < hasn't learned much about them except the basic information. This is just outrageous speculation, but what if somehow, a black hole in the future threatens our galaxy? Is it theoretically possible for one to arrive from so many light years away? And if one does close in but still light years away, would the strength of its pull become so strong, it could suck up the Kuiper Belt and worse, our solar system?

And this is why we must be upgraded.Ambidextroid wrote:< was thinking to <'s self and came to the thought that school has in many ways replaced evolution in humans. While many animals must spend thousands of years developing and inheriting generic instincts to pass on crucial information, we can simply teach people everything they need to know through language.
This brings up the idea: if every human on earth's minds where wiped at once, would we essentially become cavemen? If nobody knows how to read or speak, is there any way anybody would or even could learn to from scratch? < doubts it, which makes it strange to think that all of this information and ability to teach others exists only in the "fragile" state of the minds of the human race.
In all seriousness though, < does wonder if we'll end up merging with technology at some point, and if so, would that be some way to alleviate such an issue? By being able to restore our memories and the like?

There is a super massive black hole in the centre of the milky way, and < doesn't think it's going to threaten us any time soon. If you want to learn about black holes and the like, you should watch Kurzgesag, they have a lot of great videosRay502 wrote:< has been thinking about black holes in general. < hasn't learned much about them except the basic information. This reminds < of a desire of <'s as a kid to have a machine that let you look into the mind's eye of other people, mainly to see people's dreams. The reason being that < remembers some really cool dreams but explaining them in meticulous detail would never reach the level of atmosphere of a dream, and would probably be reeeealy boringMaster wrote:In all seriousness though, < does wonder if we'll end up merging with technology at some point, and if so, would that be some way to alleviate such an issue? < believes we've already started to see the likes of smart prosthetics. We're hardly in the super advanced stage of that though but with the rate of technological advances it is likely we'll at the very least see it start in our lifetimesMaster wrote: In all seriousness though, < does wonder if we'll end up merging with technology at some point, and if so, would that be some way to alleviate such an issue? Oh yeah, no doubt. Shamelessly plugging it a little here, but one thing <'s particularly enjoyed about the new Robot Wars is that they have a segment showing off real life robotics and the like. < remembers in the last season, they showed off a prosthetic arm and hand, it was seriously cool.Serza5 wrote:< believes we've already started to see the likes of smart prosthetics. <'s skin right above the right thumb is messed up. That white skin annoys < so < clips it off, and sometimes the next day it feels mildy sore and numb in that area.

< finds brain-controlled prosthetics very fascinating, it sounds like one of the first major areas of disability we'll successfully eliminate

< is also fascinated by interfacing the nervous system with artificial limbs and such.
< just discovered that at some point since last October, LineageOS gained the ability to record high-quality audio from the Moto E's microphone. < supposes that it was one of the features that had to land in the codebase sooner or later, but still < was pleasantly surprised.
