Re: Doctor Who
So… The Christmas special was fun.
A bit silly, but I like those this way.
Can't wait until spring. New companion, alright! \o/
Also, this one dude. Hum, little bold guy… I've forgot his name but he was enjoyable anyway. And it seems he will come back in later episodes!

Re: Doctor Who
Moffat intended it to be a homage to Superman, and I think it did its job well. Personally though, I didn't really find myself too engaged by it. I liked the moments where the Doctor and Nardole were involved, and the villains look pretty promising. But the superhero stuff wasn't my cuppa tea.
As for Series 10, I am pretty excited and it's a Spring run too, the first time we're going to have a full run in Spring since Series 5; Matt Smith's first series.

Re: Doctor Who
I got to see this Christmas special, thank space jesus! TBH tho I didn't think much of it, felt more like a fun mid season filler episode than a christmas special.

Re: Doctor Who
They've just announced that the next series of Doctor Who will be Capaldi's last.
I don't really know what to say, Capaldi should've been on longer, and he should've had a chance to move beyond Moffat's tenure.
That being said, Capaldi's era is four years long (2014 - 2017), which is the same as Tennant's and Smiths (06-09, 10-13). And much like his predecessors, Capaldi's had three full series. But at the same time, it feels as if his era is being cut off at the worst possible time. Series 9 had some episodes I didn't like, but overall, I thought it was moving in the right direction.

Strange, I'd honestly would have enjoyed having 4 seasons with him, but thems the ropes I suppose. Wonder who'll come next?

Don't know if Audio Dramas are up anyone's alley, but there are some Doctor Who and Torchwood audiobooks on Humble Bundle: https://www.humblebundle.com/books/doct ... audiobooks

Re: Doctor Who
Not really, no. But the Doctor Who audiobooks are something I've heard many good things about for some time now, they're done by a group called Big Finish.
EDIT: A new trailer emerges:

Re: Doctor Who
Ehh, I've never been too keen on doctor who content outside the show for some reason, which is a shame because if I recall correctly they really expanded the 8th doctors story through audio books

Re: Doctor Who
2 weeks, April 15th, I think. So many things have been on at present that it's been at the back of my mind.
But yeah, very excited to see 12 again! Here's hoping Moffat's final hurrah is a good one!

Still ol' 12 for now. They just released a new trailer, I'll put it in spoilers, since I know Shroob tends to avoid trailers.
