While < doesn't know the context of what happened with Fifo, a lot of this kind of seems a tad harsh... and Fifo, no need to talk so negatively about yourself, just notice your own flaws, and make try to make steady improvements.

Huh. Let < go back and read that...Rayfist wrote:The hell? That was sort of uncalled for. Is < missing something here?

Okay, how does this:
warrant this kind of a response?:Fifo wrote:And < can just dream about that.
Fifo was obviously disappointed he didn't make it, but there's nothing even remotely offensive about what he said. If there was some kind of discourse that went down with him in private, why is ^ bringing it up in public? < thinks that's incredibly inappropriate, not only because it's Fifo, and not only because it's done completely out of context in an attempt to embarrass him, ^ was literally just promoted and < has never seen ^ make a post this condescending before.Master wrote:< wonders, perhaps if Fifo dropped the entitled, self-righteous and pompous attitude, could he...maybe actually be able to be put into consideration for a mod?
We may never know...
And not only that, Fifo conceded immediately afterward:
to which ^ responds:Fifo wrote:Yeah < realises <’s an idiot sometimes
Is ^ serious? Firstly, what kind of a response is that? Secondly, how the fuck does whining or moping about a missed/screwed up opportunity warrant a ting deduction in any context whatsoever unless it's derailing a topic? That's such an unbelievably shitty thing to do.Master wrote:<'s lectured ^^ enough about ^^'s behaviour in the past, so <'s just going to cut to the chase. If ^^ continues to incessantly whine, < will be deducting tings.
Also, this is from the +/- thread, but I might as well continue it here:
Decent conversation, like:Master wrote:Fifo, you are capable of giving some decent conversation, let's see more of that, eh?
?
^ wants interesting discussion? That's kind of difficult when almost every potentially decent conversation-starter is instantly covered up with pages and pages of what is essentially little more than spam.

< hasn't got much time to post this, but < will try <'s best.
What set < off wasn't the post made here, it was Fifo's response to the new mods being nominated:
As for the second point. To an extent, < agrees. < remembers when we did these sort of posting sprees in 2013, we were told and < hopes followed the advice that we keep to game threads and stay out of ones like this. < thinks it may be best if such activity is limited as such again.
What set < off wasn't the post made here, it was Fifo's response to the new mods being nominated:
Fifo and modship have had a very odd and storied relationship, and < was reminded of what happened to a previous moderator's choice thread due to ^'s antics. As such when < eventually did see that response in the You Game, < snapped. < agrees in retrospect that it was excessive and needlessly harsh, and for that, < humbly and sincerely apologises to Fifo, ^ for it. The ting deduction threat was < trying to be pre-emptive against Fifo making any further posts of the sort, though again, perhaps a needless and unwarranted threat for < to give.Fifo wrote:Seeing it just makes me jealous.

The "rmn" < finds. Maybe < is just overreacting due to <'s borderline phobia of saying the word "mnemonic".Hunchman801 wrote:< wonders what's unusual about this one.PluMGMK wrote:< also wonders how one might go about applying English phonotactic rules to the word "hypermnesia".

Once again, <’s very sorry for causing chaos. < knows it’s not good to behave like that.

< would think that because that sound is split between two syllables ('per' and 'mne') it doesn't break any 'rules'?PluMGMK wrote:The "rmn" < finds. Maybe < is just overreacting due to <'s borderline phobia of saying the word "mnemonic".
< doesn't really know those rules though.

Re: The You Game!
< thinks that having the "mne" in one syllable is what causes the problem. < isn't sure if it would be kosher to resyllabify it to "perm-ne", which would make everything easier. (Though "perm" in an unstressed syllable is a bit much too!)

< likes the many different styles of input the Quester RPG is getting. < thinks we've got a nice, varied crowd in.
<'s been doing mucho importante stuff today and taking care of some future things needing taking care of. <'s proud of that progress.
<'s not as proud of <'s lack of progress in one other area < should have been taking care of, but at least the other things have been sorted now.
<'s off to sing in <'s classical choir! bye

<'s head is much clearer now. Though with the onset of Summer, it'll be bunged up with the Hay Fever in no time, < fears.

< is glad ^ is feeling better.
< had lost power earlier, someone hit a utility pole not far from here. Though it's back now.
