I don't know that, but maybe they thought that it's not really necessary to remove anything else, or maybe it takes much time to delete all the unnecessary stuff (I'm no game developer though).

I mean, if there was no passage, why else should there be all the gems, and why should all gems be around the area between part 3 and part 4 (I mean I didn't see any gem under the map at the beginning of the part), and especially, why is there a gem very close to the entrance of part 4?

However, assuming I'm right, I don't know why there are the two gems behind the tree (the ones on the left in my previous screenshots). They are located above the map, so if there was an underground passage, you couldn't get those gems from there.

I've attached another screenshot, which shows the gem near the entrance of part 4.
Btw., all these secret gems are only in part 3. When I was in part 4 I didn't see any hidden gem.

Here's also a video which shows how to take two of the gems. This gives us 60 points.

Maybe they never built the passage and ran into problems doing so, and that's why they split the parts.

Outrageous!
1234 wrote:... That means that one may lose around 8k points in part 1 and thus avoid playing the horrible hoodstormer combo.
Actually, due to these extra points, it might be worth looking for a better final combo for console players, so that we can increase at least the theoretical maximum. :)
It does indeed. I tried to look into another way of dealing with Elite Monger Combo in part 1. The attempt stranded somehow on the way Lums are converted for console players and also the time it takes to kill a Heckler. It is often inconvenient you have to be near the Lum to convert it.

But maybe it can work for pc players using an old computer? Anyway, here goes:

1. Release the Green Gem.
2. Weaken the Hoodstormers.
3. Make sure a Hoodstormer is located below the Grid with the Lockjaw.
4. Use an SJ to reach the Lockjaw.
5. Fall down and take the two Yellow Gems on the way down. Kill the Hoodstormer to continue the combo and convert the Lum.
6. Kill the next two Hoodstormers and convert the Lums.
7. Kill the last Hoodstormer and convert the Lum as late as possible. Make sure you stand near the place where the HMF will appear.
8. Kill the Elite Monger descending on the Balloon.
9. Charge the Fist and attack the Heckler.
10. Before the combo runs out, run towards the Green Gem and convert the Lum from the Elite Monger on the way.
11. Charge the Fist while taking the Green Gem. Attack the Heckler.
12. If necessary, it is possible to include a Pig to keep the combo going. Kill the Heckler.

The combo in schematic form (without the Pig): YYHoLHo|LHoLHoL|ELGHe

Basic points: 4940
Combo points: 13420
Total points: 18360

As for the final combo in part 2, yeah, it's definitely worth looking into possible improvements. :P

Some of these tricks look so insane it's a whole realm of dark arts to me how you could even come up with these fantastic recipes. I love it!

As for the deleted passage discussion: to me, it would appear to be laziness or forgetfulness in a project that had many, many other to-dos to cross off for busy devs - deleting items should be as easy as either selecting them and a single click on the keyboard, or selecting some code and deleting it that way, depending on how exactly levels are built.

That might be possible too. However then I couldn't really explain for what reason they placed all the yellow gems, if they didn't built something below the bog before.
Anyway, it was just an idea that they created (or intended to create) a passage, since there seem to be some indications for it. I actually still might be completely wrong about it. I guess we can only speculate...

@Shrooblord: Yeah, laziness and forgetfulness is often a good explanation. :P

@MandM: Cool combo! It still doesn't seem to be easy by no means, but at least much more playable than the hoodstormer combo. I should give it a try to see whether it'll work with me.

In TOTL part 2 you can lock onto the Elite Monger while standing at the entrance (provided he's in a convenient position) and kill him from there. Within the combo time you can return to the previous room and continue the combo with the yellow gems on the spiral stairs of the tower. However it won't be easy to get some gems before killing the Elite Monger in combo. Also the Hoodlum has to be in a special spot to be able to lock onto him.

One idea is to start with the 16 yellow gems at the top, then fall down to the single gem in the corner, equip the lockjaw on the way, fall down to the entrance and hopefully quickly kill the Elite Monger in combo (for 2000 combo points).
Yet I didn't test it though.

I made a quick test of this. There's plenty of combo time after the Elite Monger to reach the Yellow Gems on the staircase in the first room. However, the Lockjaw from the second room can't be used on the Hooks in the first room, which makes it impossible(?) to include the Yellow Gem in the air that starts the current final combo. That means the value of the final combo remains the same.

If however it is possible with the Lockjaw to take just one Yellow Gem from the wooden platform just above the entrance, fall down to the entrance and kill the Elite Monger and continue the combo then it's another matter. The combo could then go like this:

YEYYY|PYYYY|YYPHG|PYYYR|RRHLLLPYYYYYYPDPPPYYYYYYYYYRRRYYYRRR

Notice only three of the four Yellow Gems on the stairs were used. The yield is:

Basic points: 5300
Combo points: 17200
Total points: 22500
Maximum score: 117229

Maybe it's possible to include the Yellow Gem that was left out. Not sure. As for including more Yellow Gems before the Elite Monger, there's no doubt it will be borderline (un)playable. But let's assume it's possible. A potential combo with five Yellow Gems could go like this:

YYYYY|EYPYY|YYPHG|PYYYR|RRHLLLPYYYYYYPDPPPYYYYYYYYYRRRYYYRRR

Basic points: 5300
Combo points: 17680
Total points: 22980
Maximum score: 117709

The number of Yellow Gems on the stairs and from the first Pig has been adjusted in order to fit the Green Gem into the combo.

This was just a few initial thoughts, there could be more variations on the same theme, some more playable than others.

By the way, does anyone know the best score in TOTL so far reached by using IPG?

Re: Rayman 3 scores

This is a ~0,5k or even ~1k points improvement, so it should be worth investigating the combo.

I might have an idea how to make the beginning maybe a little bit easier (or possible at all?):
At first "activate" the lava so that it'll start rising. Wait for some seconds. Then play the elite monger combo (as in the video). However you might/should exclude the last gem on the ladder from the combo. After you've killed the Elite Monger, immediately jump out of the room and continue as in your combo scheme. Timing is here quite important: The lava must be high enough so that you can jump to the entrance without having to wait, but the lava mustn't be too high, because otherwise you won't be able to finish off the Elite Monger.

I tried it quickly, but didn't reach the gems on the spiral stairs in time. However my movement wasn't optimal, so maybe some practice will make it possible?

Did anyone actually find a way to reach the exit of the first room without killing the hoodstormers before, i.e. without using the lockjaw from the last hoodstormer? I'm asking because I guess that we could possibly include the hoodstormers in the final combo, if the idea with the elite monger won't really work out.
I got already a somewhat high SJ on one of the rotating platforms which might be high enough to reach the top of the big tower with a lockjaw. But would the "wrong" lockjaw work on the hook then?

To increase the console-maximum we can also change the ending a little bit: Instead of breaking all three piggybanks in the small room, break just the two which include red gems. Take all the gems and leave the room. Send a curved shot towards the third piggybank and run to the piggybank near the rotating statue/tower to break it in time. Then get the gem under the statue and afterwards the gems from the piggybank. Finish the combo with the near piggybank and its gems.
Assuming you can do it all with a powerup the maximum would increase by 880 points, leading to 117529, if I'm not mistaken. :)

As for your question, I don't know exactly what the currently best IPG-score is. It should be 117.xx9 points.

Ok, I tried out a few things.

1. It currently takes about 7 seconds from killing the Elite Monger in a good position to exit the room, fall down to the top of the spiral staircase and run to the right to connect with the 12 Yellow Gems around the revolving statue. It might be done a tad faster for a potential continuation of the combo.

2. It takes around the same amount of time from killing the Elite Monger in a good position to exit the room, jump/helicoptering to the nearby small platform, rolling off the edge and killing the nearby Hoodstormer. I was closer to succeeding in that than expected. Again, some further practise might make it possible. This way makes it possible to take the Green Gem with a Powerup by falling down with the Lockjaw from the Elite Monger room and continue the combo with Pigs, Gems Hoodlums and so forth. I haven't made any calculations yet, but it will make a healthy improvement to be sure. :D

Obviously it's a problem killing the Elite Monger in combo in a "good position" after taking some Yellow Gems.

I'm most optimistic about killing the Elite Monger after five Yellow Gems and after entering the first room fall down close enough to the staircase to pick up one Yellow Gem without touching the staircase and continue the combo with a Pig on the roof as mentioned in a previous post. It's the aforementioned combo:

YYYYY|EYPYY|YYPHG|PYYYR|RRHLLLPYYYYYYPDPPPYYYYYYYYYRRRYYYRRR

Basic points: 5300
Combo points: 17680
Total points: 22980
Maximum score: 117709

I tried pretty much the same, but didn't succeed in it either. We may still keep these ideas in mind.

As for the idea with the hoodstormers, I've found a rolling SJ on top of the big tower, which should allow us to exit the room without having to kill any hoodstormer before. That means that, as far as I know, we could include all 7 of them in the final combo. It might look like this:

The beginning is the same as in the usual hoodstormer combo. After you've killed the last hoodstormer, don't convert the lum, but roll down on one of the rotating platforms, immediately roll down again and take the green gem for 7500 combo points. Fall down on the ground and kill the hoodblaster on your way. Equip the lockjaw and quickly climb the stairs to kill the hoodstyler and convert his lum. Continue with the three piggybank on the "roof" and the two piggybanks on the ground, plus all the gems. Equip the HMF and break the wooden door and the two piggybanks which contain red and yellow gems. Take the gems, run out and break the third piggybank from a distance. Finish the combo with the last two piggybanks on the ground and the gems inside.
You shouldn't include the single gem under the statue at the end, because otherwise the powerup will run out too soon.

--> YYYYY|YYYYY|YYHHL|HLhlh|lhlhghHLPYYYRRRPYYYYYYPPYYYYYYPDPYYYRRRPYYYRRRPPYYYYYYPYYYYYY

I hope I didn't forget something. If not, this combo should lead to 120689 points, I think. :D With the usual ending (i.e. ...DPPPYYYYYYYYYRRRYYYRRR) we'd get 119909 points.

A combo with the green gem for 9000 combo points and all the hoodstormers might look like this:
Play the beginning of the usual hoodstormer combo, but take only 6 yellow gems at the beginning and don't convert any lum. After you've killed the last hoodstormer, equip the lockjaw, roll down on one of the rotating platforms, immediately roll down again and kill one of the hoodlums (you probably wouldn't reach the green gem in time). Then quickly use the hook and the balloons to get the green gem. Continue with the three near piggybanks etc.

--> YYYYY|YHHHh|hhhHG|PYYYRRRPYYYYYYPHLPYYYYYYPDPYYYRRRPYYYRRRPPYYYYYYPYYYYYY

Unless I miscalculated, this combo should lead to about 120229 points. I'm also not completely sure, whether the combo is possible at all.

One downside is that even though with these combos you'd probably be able to achieve a higher maximum, in total you'll most likely still get less points, which means that you couldn't allow yourself the luxury to lose ~8k points any more. :|

*****************************************************************************************************************************************************

Edit: Here is a video, which shows i.a. the aforementioned SJ. Also the final combo itself seems to be possible. Later on I'll make some calculations, but I think that we can already expect a 120k+-maximum in TOTL, at least for console players. :)

Excellent! And also cool we are now able to weaken most of the Hoodstormers. :D

I guess we don't have to work the Elite Monger into some elaborate combo. Instead we can focus on getting the Elite Monger in the highest possible combo.

With the Lockjaw from the Elite Monger room we can possibly start the combo with the Elite Mongers. Maybe a combo with the maximum console Lum conversion can go like this:

HLLLH|LLLHL|HHHHG|PPPYY|YYYYYYYRRRHLLLHLLLPYYYYYYPDPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYRRRRRR

The Lockjaw will be renewed after the first Hoodblaster.

Basic points: 6320
Combo points: 21020
Total points: 27340
Maximum console score: 121049

I'll try to do some calculations on the score needed after part 1. I expect it won't be easy to get that score.

Re: Rayman 3 scores

Post by 1234 »

Good idea! I haven't thought of using the lockjaw from the second room.

One thing about the first combo, which I described in my last post:
As far as I know we can't weaken the 4th hoodstormer (yet). That means it might be impossible or very hard to kill him while wearing the yellow powerup-suit. Also killing the last hoodstormer with this powerup isn't recommended, because otherwise you probably wouldn't get the green gem in time. However I don't know why we shouldn't be able to get the 5th and 6th hoodstormer with the throttle copter. I haven't really tried it yet, so I might be overlooking something, but I actually don't see a reason why it shouldn't work.

So I'm thinking of the following beginning:
YYYYY|YYYYY|YYHLH|LHLhl|HLHLhghHLPPP...

Points with the improved ending (i.e. with the two piggybanks on the ground near the entrance of the part):
Basic points: 4880
Combo points: 21960
Total points: 26840
Maximum console score: 121969

Points with the usual ending:
Basic points: 4720
Combo points: 21160
Total points: 25880
Maximum console score: 121189

Note: I didn't calculate any points from extra lums, so the maximum should be even higher.

Potential improvements: 1.) Get the 4th hoodstormer and the 4th lum with a powerup too (+ 440 combo points). 2.) Convert the lum from the last hoodstormer (+ 50 combo points).
--> With these improvements and some extra lums, 123k seems to be in reach for console players, in case everything will work out. :D

Unfortunately it seems like you won't be allowed to lose almost any points. I calculated that you would be able to get pretty much exactly 100000 points before the combo points from the final combo will tick in*. That means that the maximum should be just barely achievable.
However this would be just ridiculous, so that this is only important for the theoretical maximum. Other than that I'd rather use your idea, or the idea with the elite monger, provided you'll have some more room for easier versions and mistakes then.

* You might be able to get a few more points, if you combine the elite monger combo with the 4 gems on the spiral stairs and the gem near the hook, i.e. YYYYY|EYYYY|Y.
Also I didn't include some potential extra lums from the final combo in my calculations.

*****************************************************************************************************************************************************

Edit: Actually you can weaken the 4th hoodstormer, who is located behind the wall (OoB), as well. To do so, perform a SJ near the place with 6 piggybanks and a cage with a red can (usually you use the SJ to return to the first room). Then helicopter towards the hoodstormer, but be careful not to enter the room, i.e. stay out of bounds. From there you can weaken the hoodstormer.
Note: You can even helicopter to the small room with the lever, so that you don't need to break the wooden door before. That might possibly allow you to include the wooden door in a bigger combo, but yet I can't think of anything useful.

After some tests I can also say that it's possible to kill the 5th and 6th hoodstormer with a powerup. Killing the 4th hoodstormer with the throttle copter should be possible too, as long as you weaken him before.

Clever way to weaken the last Hoodstormer. I hadn't thought about that. :P

I did some calculations regarding your final combo for console players. The combo ends with the two Pigs with 6 Yellow Gems each. I allowed the first 6 Hoodstormers to give 2 Lums each. The last Hoodstormer gives no Lums. I'm not sure these Lums can be taken with a Powerup, but for the moment I assume they can. The result for this combo will be something like this:

Basic points: 5020
Combo points: 23360
Total points: 28380
Maximum score: 123369

I take the Elite Monger after 5 Yellow Gems. I didn't count the 4 Yellow Gems on the stairs into the combo, but it can surely be done.

As far as I see I need to find around 81500 points in part 1. At the moment I can't see where they can be found. Maybe something can be done to get the Elite Monger in part 2 for 2000 - 2500 combo points? Or maybe something can be done with the last Tower? :|

I calculated that ~79k points would be needed after part 1. Maybe you forgot the hoodstormer combo with the 8 red gems? At least that would explain the ~2,5k-points-difference.
I calculated the following:

Points you can get before playing the final combo: 4920 (Lavicraft Combo) + 140 (Door + Lever) + 140 (4 Yellow Gems on the wooden platforms / on a balloon) + 240 (the following 6 Yellow Gems) + 180 (5 Yellow Gems on the spiral stairs / beside the hook) + 20 (Yellow Gem under the statue) + 1800 (Elite Monger Combo) + 1160 (18 Yellow Gems) + 2300 (8 Red Gems and Hoodstormer + Lums) + 4860 (Piggybank Combo) + 60 (One-Hit-Kill-Bonus from the Elite Monger on a balloon) = 15820

Basic points in the final combo: 5020

--> Required score after part 1: 100009 - (15820 + 5020) = 79169

In your points strategy you wrote that on console one can get 79300 points after part 1. Consequently 123k points should be possible. Of course then you'd have to go through hell and succeed in the hoodstormer combo in part 1 and all the other not so funny combos, all in one go. :beurk:
That's why I think it might be better to use your idea (starting with the lockjaw from the second room), unless the lockjaw will run out too soon. That way one would get 1500 basic points more from the green gem. Then you could use an easier version of the hoodstormer combo in part 1 and maybe still be able to reach about 120k points then...
MandM81 wrote:Maybe something can be done to get the Elite Monger in part 2 for 2000 - 2500 combo points? Or maybe something can be done with the last Tower?
I've tried already quite a few things, but nothing seems to work. In the Elite Monger Combo I think the best approach is to start with the yellow gems at the top of the tower, fall down and take a gem and the blue can near a ladder during the fall. Land on the single yellow gem on the wooden platform in the corner, then jump towards the next gem. Don't jump onto the platform though. Instead take the gem while falling down. Until now I'm quite sure that everything works. Now the hard part is to activate the helicopter at the right time, lock onto the Elite Monger, send a curved shot towards him and somehow helicopter back to the entrance.
If that was possible, we'd be able to get 2000 combo points from the Elite Monger.

Also, unfortunately my holidays are pretty much over, so I won't have too much free time from now on. :(
At least we managed to (almost) optimize TOTL in the last few weaks. :)

I went through my calculations again and found I entered a wrong number in my spreadsheet. :tssk:

Console players do indeed need to get 79k+ points after part 1, that is, they need to play an almost perfect game.

I think it would be right to conclude that the current maximum for console players is around 123k+ points. The points are certainly there. Have you calculated a maximum score for pc players? It will probably be quite a bit lower. However, I have a good feeling that the lone Heckler in part 1 can be taken in combo for either 1500 points if a reduced Elite Monger Combo is used or for 2500 points if the full Elite Monger Combo is used for pc players using an "old pc". If this is indeed possible, pc players will catch up quite a bit on console players. :)

I'll be busy as well the next few months as exams are closing in. In my free time I'll probably try to improve my score in TOTL. Don't think I'll go for 123k the first time around. I'll post if I find something new.

It was great fun exploring TOTL. :D

I did some calculations on that. It seems that for PC the best final combo would be the one where you start with 5 yellow gems and then kill the Elite Monger:
(YYYYY|EYPYY|YYPHG|PYYYR|RRHLPYYYYYYPDPYYYRRRPYYYRRRPPYYYYYYPYYYYYY)
In the other ideas you'd lose too many points for taking the green gem without a powerup.
If you can finish off the Heckler in combo after killing the Elite Monger and taking the green gem, you'll be able to collect enough points to reach 118289 points with the aforementioned final combo.

Of course the maximum is ~5k points lower than the one on console, but I'm still happy with it, especially considering that until recently we could "only" get ~105k points by playing the Hoodflyer Combo in part 3.

I wonder how high the IPG-maximum can be with all the new findings now. The point is that once the glitch is activated you can't get rid of your powerup, which means that you may only take up to 14 items before collecting the green gem. With this constraint it might be hard to come up with a sufficiently great combo. So I guess that there won't be a huge difference between the maximum with the IPG and the console maximum without the IPG any more. :P

Yeah, I think it would be great to pool our resources after the exams. 8)

As for an IPG score I guess it could go something like this, starting with five Yellow Gems before killing the Hoodstormers, taking a Lum from the first two Hoodstormers, falling to get the Green Gem, continue with the Pigs on the roof…

YYYYY|HLHLH|HHHHG|PPPYY|YYYYYYYRRRHLHLPYYYYYYPDPPYYYRRRYYYRRRPYPYYYYYYPYYYYYY

The combo thus ends with the two pigs in the area outside the room with the three Pigs. The six Yellow Gems from the middle Pig are not taken.

Basic points: 6420
Combo points: 22060
Total points: 28480
Potential maximum: 122069

Maybe another strategy is possible if you wear the Throttle Copter suit throughout the combo. It means the Door has to be broken before the combo starts. The combo goes in the same way until the Hoodstyler is killed. Fall down and continue the combo in the room with three Pigs. Break the Pigs and get the Gems. Make sure you pick the Gem near the entrance last so you can continue the combo with the Pig around the corner that holds two red Lums. Break the Pig below the scaffolding and collect the six Gems as you start helicoptering to continue the combo with the Hoodblaster on the scaffolding IF that is possible. Continue the combo with the Yellow Gem under the statue and finish the combo with the two Pigs and Yellow Gems nearby.

If this combo is doable, the scores are

Basic points: 6480
Combo points: 22360
Total points: 28840
Potential maximum: 122369

It seems a disadvantage you can’t get out of the IPG and get the full score from the Hoodstormers. Or it could be I’m overlooking something.

Re: Rayman 3 scores

Initially I thought that now the IPG would be an disadvantage, too. But maybe, if following combo works, it might even give some more points:

Get the red can from the cage near the six piggybanks and return to the second room, where the combo starts: Take six yellow gems and fall down to the entrance. Kill the Elite Monger and run back to the first room. There should be the yet invisible hoodstormers. Finish off five of them with one fully charged fist, but make sure to defeat the last one while running towards the yellow can. Get the powerup to make the next hoodstormer spawn and kill it just in time. Kill the last one as well and fall down to the green gem. Continue with the nearby three piggybanks etc.

If possible, this should lead to over 123k, depending on how the ending would look like. With an optimized ending maybe even 124k points will be achieveable!?
It still wouldn't make a really big difference compared to the non-IPG-console-maximum. :)

Also, in the non-IPG version, I thought about a way to break both doors in the final combo. However it'd make the combo much more difficult, so it's not really worth it in practice:

After collecting the green gem and killing the hoodblaster, convert the lum, equip the HMF and run towards the spiral stairs. Then break the wooden door, behind which three piggybanks are, climb the stairs and break the second wooden door on the way. Now lock onto the hoodstyler above you and kill him with a curved shot. Quickly get the lockjaw, run up, convert the lum and continue with the piggybanks.
I shortly tested it and it seems that some practice might make it possible. I'm not completely sure though.

Well, I still get a lower score in the IPG version than in the non-IPG version. I guess I'm missing out on something.

As far as I can see, the combo starting with the HMF goes something like this:

YYYYY|YEmHHH|HHHHG|PPPYY|YYYYYYYRRRHLHLPYYYYYYPDPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYRRRRRR

Basic Points: 7020
Combo Points: 22120
Total Points: 29140
Potential Maximum: 122149

Now, if it's possible to end the combo with the two Pigs after the Statue the potential maximum will be 122929 points, which is a bit lower than the non-IPG maximum of 123369 points through a combo that also ends with the two Pigs after the Statue.

In any case, how will you hit the Elite Monger after six Yellow Gems with the HMF?

It was just an idea, so I'm not sure, whether it'll work or not. But that's what I thought:

To hit the Elite Monger after collecting six gems, I thought that you could use the basic idea which I described about one week ago (which we'd use to kill the Elite Monger for 2000 combo points). In this case we'd take only 4 gems at the top (be careful not to touch any yellow can), fall down on the single yellow gem in the corner, jump down to the entrance, take another gem in that process and then quickly finish off the Elite Monger.
I actually think it can be done. The problem is that you need to play very precisely. That's why I haven't really tried it seriously yet.

A second idea was to activate the lava and then quickly climb the tower without taking anything, until you reach a yellow can with two gems near it. Now you were supposed to take the gems, fall down to the next two gems in a corner below, then get the gem on the next platform, fall down, kill the Elite Monger and quickly jump out of the room (the lava should be high enough).
I tried it today and actually everything seemed to be possible, except that unfortunately you can't get the first gem which is floating in midair by simply jumping from the wooden platform. This probably makes the beginning impossible, so that we can presumably forget the idea... :|

For the second part of the combo I thought about following:
After taking the green gem, breaking the three piggybanks and collecting the gems inside, kill one of the hoodlums and convert the lum. Quickly run to the red can, break the wooden door and get everything in the small room behind. Continue with the nearby piggybank which contains some red lums and with the next piggybank. After collecting the yellow gems from the latter piggybank, jump on the spiral stairs, break the next wooden door and then quickly kill the second hoodlum. If there's enough time, convert the lum, otherwise run immediately to the gem under the statue and finish the combo with the next two piggybanks and the gems inside.

--> YYYYY|YEmHHH|HHHHG|PPPYY|YYYYYYYRRRHLDPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYRRRRRRPPYYYYYYDHLYPYYYYYYPYYYYYY
Basic Points: 7420 (I assumed you'll get 6 one-hit-kill-boni)
Combo Points: 23820
Total Points: 31240
Potential Maximum: 123829

After collecting the gem under the statue, breaking the nearby piggybank and collecting the gems, I once managed to perform a rolling SJ on a ledge between the two last piggybanks. Then I could break the second piggybank while flying upwards and reach one of the gems on the wooden, unstable platforms in time. Then you should be able to take another gem on the platforms, fall down and finish the combo with the gems from the piggybank. (I hope it's somehow understandable).
--> ...YPYYYYYYPYYYYYYYY
This would lead to 124029 points. :D

Actually I think that all this should work, it would be just very difficult though, especially the part with the Elite Monger.

Edit: I forgot to mention that you might possibly take six more gems in the combo: .... Collect the green gem, then break the two nearby piggybanks with some gems inside. Get the gems and start helicoptering towards to the six yellow gems, which are more highly situated (somewhere near the tower with the spiral stairs). To keep the combo going, break at first the third piggybank and then, two seconds later, kill one of the hoodlums. Take the six gems and fall down directly onto the red can. Then break the door and continue as described above.
If that's possible, the maximum would be 500 points higher (you won't be able to convert the lum of one of the hoodlums), i.e. optimally 124529 points.

Hehe, yeah, I believe the various sections of the final combo can be connected. I will look further into that when I have sufficient time on hand. I can't help thinking, that a player going for 123k - 124k will have to negotiate the big Hoodstormer combo in part 1, play the rest of the part almost flawlessly and then face a final combo of this caliber in part 2. That's a heavy task. :)

For now I'll try to focus on putting a strategy together that will allow a healthy improvement without using the full Hoodstormer Combo in part 1. It should be a relatively stress free project for the exam period. :P
