Re: Rayman Legends
You mean diamond? Well, the distance ones are usually pretty easy. And if you can play co-op, the dojo ones are usually pretty easy as well. Especially if you use Globox and hit through walls etc.

Re: Rayman Legends
They're called diamond? Shows how much I've played Legends recently.
I have come close to the Dojo challenges in recent memory, particularly the unlimited time challenge where you have to get as many Lums as possible without dying. I believe the only thing that stopped me that one time where I was about 15 Lums away from getting the diamond was those flaming knives.
The Neverending Pit can get real frustrating at times. There's absolutely no way you can judge where those spikes are gonna be (unless you keep dying as you keep trying and trying to remember where they are). That challenge requires every action on impulse to even be somewhat good at.

Re: Rayman Legends
I've never won a diamond trophy, so I guess I don't find them so easy.
Re: Rayman Legends
I managed to grab maybe 2 or 3 in all the challenges I've played up to date (I'm gathering all the Wii U, PC and PS3 versions) but I can ensure it wasn't easy for me. Many trial and error and also in a time where the leaderboards weren't invaded by cheaters. In the latest times I played in PS3 to unlock the Level 11 I was laughing everytime I was checking the top 10 names and the minimum score required to get a Diamond Cup. Yes, it is perfectly possible to be over 30 KMs of distance between the first and second place!

Re: Rayman Legends
Darn cheaters. When will they ever learn it's actually nice to play fair?
Re: Rayman Legends
You do know that the 30km players aren't (usually) cheaters, right? It's definitely possible reaching that distance. However, reaching above like 30-35km is extremely difficult due to a glitch which always happens there (some of the objects etc. stop working correctly). But yeah, the PC version has a lot of cheaters. Especially on the Dojo challenges with 0 seconds (or even negative seconds
). The invasion leaderboards are worst with all on top 10 having 0 seconds usually. There was even a point where Ubi-Mya was considering resetting the invasion leaderboards, but it never happened.

Re: Rayman Legends
I wonder why she couldn't do that.
What does this 30km glitch look like? I suppose it's related to memory limitations.

Here's an example of a distance glitch: https://youtu.be/X_cBx5dX3mA?t=50m15s
I can't remember if there are others, but I know this same glitch appears in the Livid Dead as well.

I wouldn't even want to play that minigame for 50 minutes.Carrot-master wrote:Here's an example of a distance glitch: https://youtu.be/X_cBx5dX3mA?t=50m15s

Re: Rayman Legends
I would've gladly done it, if only I'd ever got good enough.
So the game thought the side of that solid box was spiky/injurious. Odd.

Re: Rayman Legends
This is the point I'm trying to tell. I confess I had no idea about that glitch but even with a glitch or not who is going to spend almost an hour to make that brutal distance? I think there are better ways to spend over half that time.Hunchman801 wrote:I wouldn't even want to play that minigame for 50 minutes.

Re: Rayman Legends
I did a search on the internet and read that you have to be active, good and very patient in the challenges, I suggest you follow my videos!Globteen wrote:o I have PS4 version but don't have Uplay and I am not a VIP player
How to be VIP player?
Re: Rayman Legends
They sadly enough don't give out VIP ranks anymore.

Re: Rayman Legends
When did they stop giving out those VIP ranks?
Re: Rayman Legends
Well, Ubi-Mya gave out like 1 or 2, but I don't think that was actually part of her job, just something she helped out with for the community. Since she left there hasn't been any active community manager at all, so I highly doubt we'll see any more of these VIP ranks. Especially with there no longer being a dedicated development team to Legends, as Mya once said, and that it's soon being ported to the Switch. Sure, we could be surprised and see a new VIP rank being handed out, but I highly doubt that at this point. The game is over 3 years old by now anyway.

Re: Rayman Legends
Guys I'm contemplating the idea of just writing down here the method of manually unlocking Ubi-Ray in the PC version, so anyone can do it on his/her own without having to rely on my assistance. I'm not sure that the original source I got the info from is still available to check and Thank Polokus I was resilient enough to write it down from there for myself.
So what do you say? Is it morally questionable to share this info about this "exclusive" character skin's obtainability or shall I proceed with the revelation of this "secret"?
Thought I'd ask it before doing anything, so everyone can say his/her piece and it can be a community decision.

Re: Rayman Legends
YES, I think it would great if you tell us, especially since Ubisoft no longer gives out VIPs for PS4 & Xbox One versions. Not only that, I wouldn't have to manually mod Ubi-Ray into the game by renaming game files just to play as him. That might also open up more modding possibilities since that probably unlocks an extra character slot, right? Then that would be perfect for this thing I've been working on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9BCDZ2iEqUSpyroGuy wrote:Guys I'm contemplating the idea of just writing down here the method of manually unlocking Ubi-Ray in the PC version, so anyone can do it on his/her own without having to rely on my assistance. Re: Rayman Legends
It doesn't unlock an extra slot. I don't believe that was ever programmed for the PC version. It only changes the last used character so you start as that one.
As for revealing how to do this, I think that'd be great! The game isn't that new any more so I don't see that as an issue.
