My thoughts? I'm kind of losing the respect I once had in Infaune, sure, he was never the original creator of Megaman to begin with, but he also helped the series reach popular heights and helped me to become the fan I was today. To see him make stupidly questionable decisions is starting to make me think Capcom aren't the bad guys here.
Also even MORE bad news regarding the Megaman Legends succesor, Red Ash

Re: Megaman Discussion
Bump.
Today is a sad day for Megaman fans, Mighty no 9 has been a huge disaster. The game is scoring mediocre reviews from both users and large game sites.
What can I say other than I saw this coming. Since the release of the BETA, I knew this was gonna happen. I think this can be blamed on a few things, the first being the incompetence of Comcept and their inability to listen to fans, and their dishonesty towards the fans. You can tell no love was put into Mighty no. 9, it lacks what made the Megaman games so great. Megaman (even the darker Megaman games) were incredibly vibrant, energetic, and full of chracter, MN9 obviously lacks all of this, it feels like a rushed product made to cash off of the glory of Megaman, and that's precisely what it is.
The lesson I think we should all learn from this is: Be careful what you back on kickstarter. Do remember that Comcept never showed us any gameplay from the start, while Playtonic for Yooka Laylee were quick to show us how the gameplay for Yooka Laylee was. I don't think this means kickstarter should be avoided as a whole. Yooka Laylee looks awesome, and Bloodstained looks great as well. But we should certainly learn from this, and take it as a sign to be careful what we back on kickstarter.

They also sent the wrong Steam codes and nobody who backed on Steam will be getting the Ray DLC.
Since I move this weekend, I'll test it next week.

Re: Megaman Discussion
If one thing that was good came from Mighty No. 9, it's the soundtrack. Even the main menu music entranced me.
I think they had a strong vision, and the music and concept artwork goes to show that. If only they had stuck to using 2D artwork in-game or used more vibrant colors and cel-shading on their 3D models instead of... that horrible white Fresnel plastic shading. Even then though, the 3D models are so bad.

Megaman X is on the eshop? Holy fuck Ive always wanted to play that game on the go, sounds awesome. I hope X2 and 3 get released as well though it's a tad doubtful.
Re: Megaman Discussion

Re: Megaman Discussion
Well guys... here's the closest thing to a new megaman game we're going to get: http://www.capcom-unity.com/dubindoh/bl ... e-dlc-pack

Check out Adsolution and me playing Mega Man 2 translated on Serbian. Commentary is hilarious, full of funny moments in game and Rayfist and Omar join commentary as well.
Re: Megaman Discussion
Well, a game collection that contains 7-10 which were missing in the first legacy collection.
I am actually pretty happy that 8, 9 and 10 are being ported, because it means I don't have to get my ps1/wiiware copy every time to play them, and that's more of a convenience then anything.
No mention of the 30th anniversary though, hopefully this means that this is not all we're getting, but knowing Capcom...
We'll have to see.

Re: Megaman Discussion
No Megaman & Bass (even though it's canonical if we are to believe the ending of MM9), no Power Fighters/Power Battle, no Battle & Chase, no Wily Wars, no Megaman Soccer.
Guess we're due for a Legacy Collection 3 then, unless these games do not matter, which is true except for MM&Bass.

Re: Megaman Discussion
Megaman & Bass/Soccer/Wily wars all could just be emulated (which is the reason I don't really care about Megaman 7 being in the package), Though I agree that Battle & Chase and Power Battle/Power Fighters would have been nice to have since it's only possible to get them on the ps2/gamecube.Pirez wrote:No Megaman & Bass (even though it's canonical if we are to believe the ending of MM9), no Power Fighters/Power Battle, no Battle & Chase, no Wily Wars, no Megaman Soccer.

Re: Megaman Discussion
With meme32 it's also possible to emulate the arcade games. I've been doing it for a very long time if you're interested.

Re: Megaman Discussion
I think this all should have just been part of the first collection but at least 9 and 10 are finally getting an official PC release. Also I loved 8 aesthetically, despite all the hate that game got.
Yeah I would love to see Megaman and Bass but I don't think we're getting it. I'd sooner hope for an X and Zero collection (or even Battle Network for that matter.)

Oh, I wasn't sure if it was possible to emulate arcade games, in that case only battle and chase would've really mattered if it got ported with the collection.Pirez wrote:With meme32 it's also possible to emulate the arcade games. I've been doing it for a very long time if you're interested.
I may give meme32 a shot in the future though, thanks.
I think X4-X8 are the games that in the most need of a new port in the X series (excluding X7 because that game is a piece of trash).Rayfist wrote:I'd sooner hope for an X and Zero collection (or even Battle Network for that matter.)
Also there's already a Zero collection for the DS if you're interested.
