We can't order the non-ordered files automatically. Can you please do some levels and me some others ? So we can assign tasks.
I do M_AREA52 to M_MOTHER and you do M_REX to M_ZOSTER ?

There's a slight cut every chunk... Which tools did you use?
Anyway, thanks to you and Drolpiraat I now have both the PS2 and the GC version sequences in order... It will be a joke to concatenate them
I'll do them separately... I'll do the GC version and the PS2 version...

You have PS2 in order ? I don't understand. Drolpiraat says it was impossible.

I've just finished the "Area 52" PS2 theme with all the sequences played once in order...
In the order there are also the unused ones

Try this one instead...

This is an MP3 preview, but I worked exclusively in WAV lossless

I see you took the Debut and Debut_Atmos01 beta for Area 52 from the other level music. Wow, it's a total mess in the files. Like, frozen mine layers are everywhere in "backspace files". Your version is good except the intro that has a lot of noises compared to me. Also, I separated the Engagement Soft. I putted a path for Engagement 1 to 24 and an another for 25 to 48.
Re: [Download] Ripping a soundtrack from an another UbiSoft game: Disney's PK: Out Of The Shadows
I can't do much about the noise... It's the ADPCM compression that does that...
I've been ripping many PS2 soundtracks that used ADPCM audio and when mid or hi frequencies show up there's always noise with them...
The GC version was actually at 22050Hz at the beginning, but for some reason the developers decided to convert it at 32000Hz...
In that case the noise above 11025Hz can be removed with a simple downsampling to 22050Hz, but not all the remaining noise is removable...
You used OGG or MP3 compression, but that isn't the best solution...
I'll take the soundtrack as it is because there's nothing more that can be done...
Videogame soundtracks are generally set to low quality on purpose for sparing space in CDs, DVDs or any other medium...
Anyway, I'll master both versions (PS2 and GC) and after getting everything done I'll send you the tracks in WAV or FLAC lossless with the original samplerate...
Do not use 48000Hz or 44100Hz... Keep the original samplerate...

I don't talk about noise artifacts, but the gaps between joined segments. I don't have any noises for the Area 52 intro. I reassembled them manually.

Re: [Download] Ripping a soundtrack from an another UbiSoft game: Disney's PK: Out Of The Shadows
The 'clicking' noises in the PS2 version are just there... In the PS2 version each chunk/loop has a very small 'hole' of silence at the beginning and at the end... That's why you can hear those clicks... This doesn't happen in the GC version...
Here's an evident example:

Those aren't there because I used bad tools... The actual MIB (ADPCM) files actually store that silence data in them... I checked with an hex editor...

I know each segment has a silence at the end. On GC, noises are also here. I just reconstruct each segment manually to remove the clicking noises.

Well, that noise in the intro is just there... I can't do much about it...
I personally use foobar2000... I create a playlist of all the segments and I can rearrange them quite quickly and easily...
I also can have a quick listen...
I think it's more efficient...

Maybe that could help you to make the OST, do you want me to say how I remove those clicks ? It's just simple edition.

Re: [Download] Ripping a soundtrack from an another UbiSoft game: Disney's PK: Out Of The Shadows
It just can't be done... I mean, you could try to do a rough cut using the spectrogram to remove certain frequencies, but that's not efficient either...
This is how I found the soundtrack to be and I'll keep it as it is...

Re: [Download] Ripping a soundtrack from an another UbiSoft game: Disney's PK: Out Of The Shadows
So... are you trying to say your version of Area 52 is better ? I don't want to be rude, but if we can remove the clicks, we have to do it. Like, with all these noises, it's clearly not listenable.

Re: [Download] Ripping a soundtrack from an another UbiSoft game: Disney's PK: Out Of The Shadows
No, I'm not saying that...
I just want to say that when I find a soundtrack to be in a certain way, I just want to keep it as it is...
I don't want to put any kinds of modifications in terms of audibility... I don't want to alter the audio itself...
The only thing I'm sort of modifying here is just the segments order...
I just thought that the order I made was respecting the way the original track was made...
But hey, if you want to propose a better way to order the segments or anything, well my ears are open...

Which music did you finish ? For me, Canyon, Area 52 & Observatory are done.

Area 52, Canyon, Channel 00, Backstage and Frozen Mine.

Could you please upload all of them ? I just want to listen to them.
