Figures and Statues

Post by Bzzit »

Within the past year, I've accumulated a few from Gamingheads and I'm really impressed by the paint work and overall quality:

I'm looking forward to the classic Spyro and Crash figures coming from First4figures, but need to clear more space in my room to cater to these.

Anyone else here collect any figures or statues? :hap:

Hmm, well, I still own my old Transformers toys, though whether they count as figures or just toys is up to interpretation. Some folks may recall my going nuts over the Metroid Prime 3 Figma, which can now be preordered before the 13th. Though it doesn't ship until October.

Other than that, no, I don't really have much in the way of figures, and I also don't really see much appeal in statues myself. I prefer to have a degree of interactivity when it comes to these sort of items, so figures would be my preferred item.

That figure works especially well compared to others I've seen, due to the fact Samus's suit already has visible joints in the games, so the translation to action-figure form looks superb.

Not sure if this counts, but I used to collect toys from Kinder. Found this image on Google, pretty sure I had all of these at some point:

Oooh where'd you get the Ratchet and Clank figure from?

Only figures I really have are mostly Amiibos, the ones I primarily collect would be the Legend of Zelda series.

I got it from Ebay, as the original retailer - Gaming Heads - doesn't seem to have any more in stock.

My rare Rayman on a mushroom figure seems to have disappeared, no idea where it could be now.

Well, I don't really get emotionally attached to objects so I can't say I care much, but it's a curious disappearance nonetheless.

I know Serz is into Overwatch, not sure if anyone else is, but there's a Figma Tracer figure if it takes anyone's fancy: http://www.goodsmile.info/en/product/64 ... racer.html

Also, they've unveiled the Crash statue: Even forgoing my not-so-keen feelings towards statues, I'm not overtly wowed by this. Don't get me wrong, the details are stunning, but basing the pose and style off the early Crash N Sane art isn't doing it for me.

I agree. Luckily there's a classic Crash statue still on the way, alongside a Spyro one too.

That Ratchet statue is amazing! :D

I have few figures on my side:

And yet I am not counting my LEGO BIONICLE collection. I have all sets from 2001 to 2003, two of 2004 (I used to have more but sold most of them a long time ago), one of 2006, one of 2009, the whole 2014 set collection and 3 sets of 2015. :)

The Spyro statue has been revealed: I'm impressed, I think this a much nicer figure compared to their Crash N Sane one.

Yeah the Spyro Resin statue looks awesome. Put a pre-order in for it. Supposedly, a smaller PVC figure based on the NTSC Spyro 2 cover may be in the works as well. They just uploaded a more in-depth trailer for Spyro too:
Nice collection Haruka! Where did you get that Tintin figure from?
