Re: Mafia - Day 2
In past Mafia games, there has been a villager vigilante who was capable of killing other villagers, while the mention of black magic is suspect, I'm not sure if it's conclusive. As for my role last night, I decided to remain in contact solely with Bartholomew at the time, as I was unsure about trusting all members of the group. I was one of the players who suggested inspecting Goldfish after noticing the off grammar and spelling error.
Hence why I voiced my frustration as we learnt of the deaths of our colleagues. Like I said earlier, part of me believes that Goldfish's intention was to act as a sacrificial lamb to protect the actual protector. But all that was for nought as his bad spelling drew our suspicions as well.
I'm willing to leave Pineapple be for now, though I do find his sudden calling out on me a bit suspect, we still need an explanation from Lakitu. Seeing as he's still being quiet, I'm going to submit my vote. Should an explanation or new contrary information be unearthed, or if we have a more conclusive suspect, I will withdraw the vote.
So, for now...
Day 2 - Lynch Lakitu.

I don't mean to call anyone out, I don't want to see any wizard get hurt, but the fact remains that someone targeted Bartholomew. This might sound strange coming from me, but I wouldn't lynch Lakitu. I am pretty sure he is a wizard.Hallelujah wrote:I'm willing to leave Pineapple be for now, though I do find his sudden calling out on me a bit suspect, we still need an explanation from Lakitu. I myself, am still on the fence of who earns a lynch. Pineapple, for reasons already given, is one of them, but no reasoning from Lakitu has been given.
What makes you sure? He has been very quiet as of late. And has yet to give any explanation for lynching you.Pineapple wrote:I wouldn't lynch Lakitu. I am pretty sure he is a wizard.

Re: Mafia - Day 2
That's fair enough, but you'll forgive me if I hold my suspicions. You were right about Goldfish not being Mafia however, so I'll give you credit for that, but the constant vagueness about how you know these things does leave me curious.
Re: Mafia - Day 2
Lakitu sent me a PM explaining some things, including his role PM. Ambi will probably clarify some things later, because the user in control of Lakitu will be replaced soon.

It's confusing as hell (lel).Pineapple wrote:Lakitu sent me a PM explaining some things, including his role PM. Ambi will probably clarify some things later, because the user in control of Lakitu will be replaced soon.
If Lakitu has an explanation about his choice, why doesn't he explain it here and now? Why does he need to write his role PM to explain it? And moreover, why would he send to you his role PM, if he thinks that you are a demon?

I'm not confident enough about anyone anymore to make a decision
Day 2 - Unvote - No Lynch
Re: Mafia - Day 2
The more you post, the more suspicious you are. I will maintain my vote for the moment.
Whatever our choice is, we must take a decision before 24:00 tonight, so I would urge everyone to read the arguments thrown in the last pages and to make a choice..

Re: Mafia - Day 2
I'm going to make a (perhaps futile) post trying to explain my innocence. I realise that I have been somewhat mysterious in which information I say. It is a balance between trying to identify demons and trying to hide information that they may find useful.
But, think of the following facts:
1) The Demons can only kill 1 person per night.
2) Two people were killed last night.
This means we can conclude that:
3) One of the wizards has the power to kill at night.
If I was not the wizard with the killing role, it would be simple to prove by whoever truly had the killing role. They could either post it here or PM another member they trusted. As it stands, to my knowledge, this hasn't happened.

Sorry for not mentioning it sooner, but Lakitu has left the game and has yet to be replaced.
They left approximately half an hour after their last post which should explain their silence since then.

Very well, I withdraw my vote.
Day 2 - Unvote Lynch.
That being said, I still don't feel it's best for us to twiddle our thumbs. Inaction is what led to the villager's defeat in the last Mafia season. I notice that Ping Pong has been rather quiet. They've claimed that they can investigate the deaths of users.

Re: Mafia - Day 2
We know that Pineapple killed Goldfish. While it's true that he could be a demon pretending to be the vigilante, I don't really see why he would do that. And his explanation makes sense.
As for Lakitu, I have my doubts too but I don't see the point in pretending to be the protector. If Pineapple targeted someone and Lakitu protected them, it could prove that they're both telling us the truth (or that they're both demons but it sounds highly unlikely to me).
I'm mostly suspicious of Hallelujah, but it's just because I know nothing about them yet.
I agree that we have to lynch someone tonight else we're going to die anyway, but I'm not sure who to choose just yet. I'll hold for now, but I'll most likely change my vote before the deadline and pick whoever I'm the most suspicious of.

Nothing happened to the user I targeted. I'm open to any suggestions as to who to target next.Hallelujah wrote:I notice that Ping Pong has been rather quiet. They've claimed that they can investigate the deaths of users.

Re: Mafia - Day 2
You weasily back out as soon as you are in hot water. I'm sorry bro, but this pretty much clinches it for me. Lakitu presumably has time to PM you about his role, but then doesn't take 30 seconds to change his vote? It seems to me that either Lakitu has had his concerns confirmed (which seem to go along what Sierra said) or that the PM explanation never happend.Pineapple wrote:I'm not confident enough about anyone anymore to make a decision

Either way (plus the Hallelujah lynching that vanishes without any explanation), this is way too suspicious.
Day 2 - Lynch Pineapple
Re: Mafia - Day 2
I backed out because Hallelujah responded, not because I was in hot water. I did explain why I made that decision in the first place though, as Hallelujah was one of two people other than me who knew Bartholomew's role before his death. Lakitu did indeed PM me about his role, I'm not about to betray his trust and reveal it (although Ping Pong has indirectly done that), and he left shortly after he PMd me (I don't know why he didn't change his vote).Aviator wrote:You weasily back out as soon as you are in hot water. Re: Mafia - Day 2
Ambi has confirmed what Pineapple has stated on the matter of a player withdrawing, so I'd imagine that might be the reason why the vote hasn't been changed. Though that does leave me with a request for a point of order for the host, is the lynch vote of an inactive player counted, or is it rendered invalid?
As for this line of enquiry, I'm more inclined to be sympathetic towards Pineapple at present. Though with about three votes against him, I don't know if sympathy will warrant much now. I abstain.

After receiving some new information by PM, I have to change my mind.
Day 2 - Unvote - Lynch Pineapple.

Hey, at least that means my death will be worth something when you realise that whoever PMed you misled you. I suggest you out whoever sent you the information as soon as possible after I die.

Re: Mafia - Day 2
Well, I'm probably going to die. Everyone, please, make the most of it and use whatever information you gather from it to your advantage. I shall watch the game from the afterlife with anticipation.
