Re: Your YouTube Channel
I forgot to thank NrOr again for her involvement in my latest video about the movie True Lies, even though her drawings didn't make the final cut.
Re: Your YouTube Channel
Hey guys I made a video on Super Mario Odyssey that you can all enjoy freely because there are no words spoken.

Re: Your YouTube Channel
I'm not very active on YouTube, but I did make one video with the help of our camcorder called Panasonic HC-X920. My YouTube channel by the way is called "Rayfan013". I only have one video on my YouTube channel. It's about Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I use this channel to like videos, comment, create playlists that other people who can find my channel can watch and watch videos, of course.
By the way, here's the video:

Note: The video is very quiet, since I didn't turn the speakers up that much, so turn up your volume. And ignore the water sprinkle sound in the end of it. That was my dad showering but I didn't bother to edit it since I don't like editing.

Nice ticking clock you have there
But seriously, no commentary at all?

Re: Your YouTube Channel
Yeah, no commentary. I didn't do any commentary because I was afraid that someone would cringe if they heard my voice. It's not that I have a problem with my voice but on record it sounds very high-pitched. Another reason is because I wanted to upload the untouched footage. Btw yeah, we have a clock that recently my dad fixed because it didn't work. And also, yes, it's that loud.
Re: Your YouTube Channel
I always prefered commentary-less videos, it leaves the viewer to his own reflection on the gameplay without having to be "assaulted" with someone else's remarks. It's also a good way to get immersed in a game even if you don't play it.
Although I admit some commentaries are really well-thought and instructive; I wonder if any platform allows to (de)active the commentary at any given time in a video

Re: Your YouTube Channel
Like on a DVD? It's possible to have multiple audio tracks in a video, but I don't know how YouTube deals with that, if at all…

Exactly, I was thinking of how some video players like VLC (the one I always usePluMGMK wrote:Like on a DVD? It's possible to have multiple audio tracks in a video, but I don't know how YouTube deals with that, if at all…
Or having two audio tracks playing (or not) at once: the gameplay one, and the commentary one.
Re: Your YouTube Channel
It doesn't. That would be an awesome idea, though.PluMGMK wrote:Like on a DVD? It's possible to have multiple audio tracks in a video, but I don't know how YouTube deals with that, if at all…

Re: Your YouTube Channel
I remember them having a transcript feature a while back, while it was rather situational, it did help whenever I was watching a talk. Don't know if it's still a thing or not, though.

Re: Your YouTube Channel
Ah, I checked. It still is a thing, though they've moved it from beneath the player to the side of it:

Anyways, my point in mentioning the transcript feature is that you could potentially use it to provide a visual commentary, though in the case of lets plays, that probably defeats the purpose.

Re: Your YouTube Channel
Is transcript basically "hand-written" subtitles?

Re: Your YouTube Channel
Pretty much, though if memory serves, you can have multiple subtitles on YouTube.

Re: Your YouTube Channel
As in you can have more than one set of subtitles for a video. I don't know if it's just languages, though I'd imagine you could be cheeky and just add commentary subtitles under a different language.
