Rayman 2 runs too fast in certain sections and bad aliasing
I was wondering if there is a fix for these problems. I have an AMD pc.

Enable VSync. It should work.

You have to go in your Amd gpu driver preferences, it should be in the Catalyst Manager or something like that.
Find an option about overriding the option for the application.

When you say AMD PC, to what exactly are you referring to? CPU or GPU?

If you run the GOG.com version there should be a config menu where you can enable the Vsync, this should lock the Frames per second count.

I turned on Vsync but it didn't fix my issues.incognito wrote:If you run the GOG.com version there should be a config menu where you can enable the Vsync, this should lock the Frames per second count.

Try to see if the option is available in game.

Try changing the fps setting in the nGlide config menu. Try both 120 and 60. Otherwise you can tr changing to DirectX in the games config.

I tried but it didn't show the fps, and choosing direct X gives me the same problems.Carrot-master wrote:Try changing the fps setting in the nGlide config menu. Try both 120 and 60. Otherwise you can tr changing to DirectX in the games config.
Re: Rayman 2 runs too fast in certain sections and bad aliasing
The fps is under the nGlide_config where it says refresh-rate.

Re: Rayman 2 runs too fast in certain sections and bad aliasing
Finally I got the game to run perfectly with the 120 refresh rate. But I still have the aliasing and some graphics problems.Carrot-master wrote:The fps is under the nGlide_config where it says refresh-rate.

Is this the issue you're having? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgbHeCyGDKEStormtrooper934 wrote:Finally I got the game to run perfectly with the 120 refresh rate. In that case you can try the fix in the description. I haven't tried it myself, so I don't know if it works. I once had this issue and I just had to change from DirectX to nGlide to fix it.

Re: Rayman 2 runs too fast in certain sections and bad aliasing
That's not the issue. my issue is the aliasing on edges looking bad, the game flickering on startup, some of the cutscenes messing up like rayman jumping over the fallen tree in the beginning instead of on the tree, and the loading screen bar not looking right.Carrot-master wrote:Is this the issue you're having? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgbHeCyGDKEStormtrooper934 wrote:Finally I got the game to run perfectly with the 120 refresh rate. Re: Rayman 2 runs too fast in certain sections and bad aliasing
I recently found a solution on the GOG forums and here's what you have to do:
1. Go into your nGlide Settings.
2. Change the "Refresh rate" from "By app" to "120 hz".
3. Enjoy the game on the original speed!
