I thought he had the hiccups.

My favourite animations of the laser Washing detergent power ups are:

The Throttle-copter: A helmet attached to his head and it showed two parts of it like Mickey Mouse ears. I like When he Knocked on it two times.

Heavy Metal Fist: When he has two metal Fists going to his hands like Iron Man attachments and punched toward the screen.

I have a question though. :?:

I wish I had a picture. But in the Fairy Council level. There are holes in trees that have huge eyes peeking through them. Does anyone have an idea of what they are called? They Remind me of the eyes in the cages in the intro of the second game that have the same sprites as the Bouncing eye enemies in Rayman 2. Could they be the creatures from the previous games or just some lurkers?

They seem to be called Noirôdeurs, and they're not identified with anything from the previous games.

Why did they get rid of Xowar in the final game? I mean, Eig in R2 was removed but it did appear in Revolution. It would've been so cool to see him as well in the game along with that giant brown mammoth-like thing which had one tooth sticking out.

The Xowar is the giant brown mammoth-like thing with one tooth sticking out. :P Did you mean one of the other creatures from the secret room in the Tower of the Leptys? If I'm not mistaken, that enemy was a pain to program properly, and wouldn't really have worked in any of the environments we see in the final game.

I was running through Rayman 3 for some winter themed snapshots, something I was wondering. Would it be possible to hide the photo mode prompt? Rayman 3 does provide a nice facility for getting snapshots, but taking the snapshot itself is better done using an external utility. At present, if I want to take a snapshot, I have to take a snapshot using the ingame tool, and then utilise that small window of opportunity where the prompt disappears to then take the actual one.

It's not a dealbreaker, as there is a sufficient window of opportunity, but it'd be more convenient if there were some means to be rid of the prompt all together.

Yeah that's that, they also planned a minigame where he was running to chase you, that got scrapped too, only the text is left in the files and some Xowar unused animations (that I've already posted there)

I would like to mention that 8 days ago this game became 15 years old, and considering how well it aged, that's suprising.

It's like a new game to me

Has anyone played the HD version recently? I tried it on my Xbox one X and the music seems to have gaps in it similar to bad sound looping. I'm wondering is it just me or is it maybe something to do with the backwards compatibility. I haven't tried it on the Xbox 360 itself yet.

I played it on Xbox 360 and liked it, but I prefer the original version of the game to be honest. This version indeed has A WAY more glitches than the original version and also it doesn't have the minigames.

Yeah I thought it seemed a bit glitchy tbh. I think I'll just stick to the PS2 version or try out the PC version with some of the mods posted here like xinput and see how it goes. I don't mind playing a console and using a CRT since they were designed back when we all used CRT TVs

I usually stick to the pc version, however the Gamecube version has some added perks like 2d Nightmare(yes I know it could only be unlocked through cheats) and Mad Trax, which in my opinion make it the best version of the game.

Well I do have a gamecube if I want to play it although dolphin seems to run extremely well anyway and has the option of the HD textures from the Xbox version minus the glitches I suppose. Maybe I'll just try both the PC version and run the gamecube one on dolphin and see how it goes. The only problem with using the real gamecube is the game is missing the option to invert the c stick which is available on PS2 meaning you have to press left to move the camera right and vice versa. On dolphin I can just reverse the stick settings to counteract that.

Hi! Just coming in to say, in case this may help someone else, that I've got my PS4 controller working perfectly with the GOG PC version of Rayman 3. The only issue I'm having is that I can only move the camera right and left with the right stick, not up and down.

To do this I installed Rayman 3 normally, then installed Rib's Better Rayman 3 mod to get the widescreen hack and, more importantly, fixed controller compatibility. I plugged in my DS4 controller and opened up DS4Windows to emulate an Xbox controller (it worked MUCH better than Xpadder for me). I used the default configuration, didn't need any changes as it worked just fine. Finally, since I am a little fuzzy and wanted to be able to open the menu with my gamepad, I did use Xpadder to overwrite the default Xbox key mapping so that start/options button would equal escape on the keyboard. And voilà, it's completely playable and comfortable!

It really sucks. I can't believe so many people use that as their main mapping program. Maybe it can work fine if your controller is an xbox one and it is fully supported, but otherwise it's very confusing and useless.

No, I think it's useless for any kind of controller. That DS4 emulator is really neat though, I've been using it for like a year now. :)

Yeah, it has aged well unlike Rayman 2, where some aspects of the game feel outdated. Nothing wrong with that of course, but in Rayman 3 it's more fast-paced and action-packed, and the combat holds up quite well.

OK so I'm here fixing 2 fat ps2s that had laser problems. I had to switch lasers and adjust the angles etc. Anyway the point is while messing with the second one I left hoodlum havoc in the other one to make sure it works properly. It kept playing the intro and I just realised how good the intro song is lol.

It's stuck in my head now

"If I ever need inspiration, right about here's where I lose my patience"

At least I think that's what it's saying. It's so catchy now
