Re: TTQ: Season 109
The games are different in structure and nature. Here an entire season is run by one person, but in the riddle game all players get a chance to pose a riddle. Here questions can have multiple valid answers, even some unintended by the quizmaster (it happens!), but each riddle has only one answer, even if the clues are ambiguous (as they should be).

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Availability and Captains
Okay, so we will have to make do with the 6 that have signed up. Here are the two teams:
Team 1
Team 2
Also, a date and time that we can begin on must be set in stone. I would like to start on the 24th around 14:00 (UTC). If there's a better time, y'all please let me know! I'm ready to get this thing started!

Hmm, it might be wise to PM players just as a reminder.
As for our team, I'm willing to be team captain, though I'd like to give someone else the opportunity should they wish.

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Availability and Captains
At present, it looks like it's going to fall onto me. It's going to be tricky, Ray502's areas of expertise don't always overlap with my own.

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Availability and Captains
Alright, then that means Carrot will be the captain for team 1 and Master will be the captain for team 2. And, everyone seems to be ready except for Aaron. I'll give it a little while longer before starting the season.
In the meantime, here's one more look at how the special season will work.
In the meantime, here's one more look at how the special season will work.
Gameplay:Rules:
- This quiz will play out in rounds, each round will consist of two sets of 10 questions
- One set of questions will be asked to Team A, the other set to Team B
- Unlike the normal quiz, there will be a time limit, 12 hours per question. There is also only ONE chance to answer, no editing of answers will be allowed.
- Unanswered or incorrectly answered questions will be added to a third question set
- New questions will be submitted once both teams have answered their questions, or if time runs out
- In the event of a tie, both teams will nominate one player to play in a head-to-head.
- Head to head takes place over a weekend, and will involve answering questions from the aforementioned third set.
- In the event of a 10 point tie, there will be a fastest finger competition instead, players will inform the quizmaster as to when they're available in such an event.
- Once a round ends, the highest scoring team is split into two, and a new round begins.
- Final round will be traditional TTQ between the final two members.
Rewards:
- There will be team captains to co-ordinate teams, they will submit the final answers by quoting the quizmaster (to send notification) and highlighting the answer given (red and in bold).
- In the event that a team captain is unavailable, a team member can submit an answer on their behalf in the same manner.
- Should a team member answer a question against the wishes of the team's captains, the team member will be barred from participating for the next two questions.
- Answers should be submitted by quoting the question, this will allow for the quizmaster to be notified
- ONLY ONE ANSWER will be accepted, any attempts to answer or edit the given answer thereafter will cause the team to be penalised.
- Answering the opposite team's question will invalidate both the opponents and the answering team's questions. The answering team will then be penalised by losing another question in their set. Thus giving less opportunity for points.
- Continued aggravation will lead to disqualification with ting deductions.
- If a team aggrieves en masse, they will automatically lose the round, and be subject to ting deductions.
- Rewards are given to the losing team members at the end of a round
- Rewards start at 50 tings, and double each round (i.e. Round 1 - 50 tings, Round 2 - 100 tings)
- For final round, winners reward is set at double the running reward (eg. if final round reward is at 800 tings, winner will receive 1600, loser will win 800, or 400/200 if threeway final)

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
Welcome one and all, to season 109 of the Teensies Quiz, hosted by Ray! This is the second special season, where two teams battle to advance to the final round to have a chance to win up to 1600 Tings!
Let's look at who is on which team.
Team 1
Team 2
Team 1: There's a holiday themed song that's heard in two parts in a certain Rayman game. Which game and where?
Team 2: There's a Christmas tileset (PCX) for which world in Rayman Designer?
The team captain will quote the question (so I can get a notification) and they must highlight their final answer in red. Each team has 12 hours to submit their final answer.

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
Damn, with the Designer stuff from the get-go. One area I'm very weak at. What do you guys think, CHRdutch and Aaron? My gut says it's the Blue Mountains, given how it's the only Rayman 1 locale with snow, but I'm guessing here.
Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
I have no idea! The only spin-off that I played was Rayman Rush for PS1.
Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
I'm assuming The Summit Beyond the Clouds, but I'm not sure. Any other ideas?

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
This is actually kinda funny, as I get the feeling that I know the answer to Team 1's question, and that Team 1 knows the answer to ours.
Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
If I don't get any other suggestions soon I'm going to have to go with The Summit Beyond the Clouds as I'm going to sleep soon and won't have time to answer before the 12 hour mark. That is unless someone else can answer for me, but then I need a confirmation that the person is available then.

That wouldn't surprise me at allMaster wrote:This is actually kinda funny, as I get the feeling that I know the answer to Team 1's question, and that Team 1 knows the answer to ours.
Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
Since no one else on my team has given any suggestions of their own and I won't have time to give an answer later, I'm going to go with my guess that it is The Summit Beyond the Clouds from Rayman 3.Ray502 wrote:

Re: TTQ: Season 109 - Round 1
We posit that the tileset referred to in the question is for The Blue Mountains.Ray502 wrote: Team 2: There's a Christmas tileset (PCX) for which world in Rayman Designer?
