To echo a few pages back, try to put a little effort in your impersonations. Doing something to the effect of "I like x" or "I did x, and that was y" and so on is less of an impersonation and more of an observation. I'm not saying you have to be scathing or mean, but perhaps there's certain tics or means of speech that can be parodied.
