The original creator of the franchise Fire Emblem, called Shouzou Kaga, created in 2016 a free, "fan-made" RPG-game called Vesteria Saga that is similar to the games in the franchise Fire Emblem.
He and some volunteers created the game during their free time and released the game on the internet free of charge.
I am wondering whether the original creator of the franchise Rayman, called Michel Ancel, could create a free, "fan-made" platformer during his free time.
What do you think? How likely is it?

You're assuming that Michel Ancel has free time. Unlikely considering BGE2

The difference is that Shouzou Kaga stopped working at Intelligent Systems, meaning he was unable to create another Fire Emblem game without going back there. Michel Ancel still works at Ubisoft and still can and wants to create Rayman games. Why would he create an imitation if he can simply continue the series?

That is a bit contradictory though. How was he able to create "Vesteria saga" then? "Vesteria saga" is basically "Fire Emblem" on PC. I know the lawsuit between him and NIntendo for "Tear ring saga", but I wonder why he can make "Vesteria saga" considering the lawsuit?Drolpiraat wrote:The difference is that Shouzou Kaga stopped working at Intelligent Systems, meaning he was unable to create another Fire Emblem game without going back there.

Because it's not actually Fire Emblem...
