I'd never thought I'd see a newcomer rise up to the position of 4th most active poster of the year within a month. What that says for our activity, is a different matter. But man, you've really dove in, Steo.

Most people probably only drop by to ask a question and then don't be in a hurry to come back but I think some of the threads are funny and nowhere else would really talk much about Rayman as most Google searches with any decent info about the games point to here.

Then the off topic stuff is cool. Them quizzes/riddles and the manipulate the image ones look like a good laugh

As i said before though most forums have snobby know it all "You're a noob search Google instead of asking that question" type of audience. I think the whole point of a forum is for everyone to get along and have a bit of banter etc. which is why I like here. You also get death elsewhere for going off topic (I know I shouldn't but at least you people seem cool about it).

So..

I have never thought I'd learn so much about a game (or learn about anything in that manner) so fast but I managed to on this forum. I know so much about Rayman 2 and 3 now, but when I first visited here like 2-3 weeks or so back I was looking at threads thinking "what's a Knaaren and what are these levels these are all talking about" , "what's a vortex, HMF and lockjaw"

I have never expected installing php 5.6 to be so difficult through official means on linux, however, with some fiddling I've learned it's actually rather easy to get it installed manually. Even on Windows.


Always nice to have a good learning experience with this stuff.

I have never managed to have a good dual boot setup with Linux and Windows like I wanted because something always goes wrong. I know how to do it, but usually just give up because it's a lot of effort and I just usually boot back into Windows

I have never been happy with dual-boot so I ended up ditching it when I built my PC in 2014 and just (occasionally) using VMs for Windows.
