Re: Rayman Origins
At least we are aware that the Kung Fu Combo trophy is there. The hidden trophies concept has always sounded a bit stupid to me. I guess it gives us more of a feeling of accomplishment when we achieve them, but when we can't, we have to look it up on the Internet.
Re: Rayman Origins
They got rid of that now on PS4 where you can press Square to view it but it's stupid that they hid them to begin with. I think the only hidden trophies should be ones that reveal the storyline of the game and only the main story so they're not missable ones. You wouldn't pick up a cup and drink from it if you didn't know what was in it so how are you supposed to know (if they hide missable ones)

Not even Rayman is safe from giving that sense of pride and accomplishment.Ray502 wrote:At least we are aware that the Kung Fu Combo trophy is there. Re: Rayman Origins
Speaking of accomplishment, has anyone actually played daily challenges in Legends enough to reach the final level of awesomeness and get a million Lums?
I was in progress on the Xbox one version but haven't been on it in a while. Legends is a brilliant game but Origins seems more fun to me for some reason and I literally don't know why that is given Legend's is longer and has the Back to Origins levels

Re: Rayman Origins
I don't really have a preference between Origins and Legends, they're kinda neck and neck to me. I enjoy both, and I find that both have their advantages over the other. But if I had to pick one, it would be Origins, because it resembles Rayman 1 more in several aspects.
Re: Rayman Origins
I really like both of them myself but Origins just edges ahead for me. I think maybe it is the nostalgia where you're saving Electoons so it's reminding me of playing Rayman 1 as a child.

Re: Rayman Origins
Yes, that's definitely one of the reasons why I like Origins over Legends. Also, Jibberish Jungle is reminiscent of the Dream Forest, Desert of Dijiridoos for Band Land and Mystical Pique for Blue Mountains, another thing I really like about Origins over Legends.
Re: Rayman Origins
Ah yeah I was thinking the desert resembles band land but never put that much thought into it. The level resemblance definitely plays a major role in my opinion of the game and that was without me paying any attention to it

Re: Rayman Origins
Yeah, and bringing back enemies like Livingstones, Antitoons and stone men was icing on the cake.
Re: Rayman Origins
I love it. It's a really good game that I haven't completed on PC or VITA yet. More origins for me to play

Re: Rayman Origins
Have you tried out the Rayman 1 mods for Origins on PC?
Re: Rayman Origins
I wasn't aware that existed but now I'll have to look at that

Re: Rayman Origins
Check out the Rayman Origins TexMod thread, I think folks have posted links to some of them there. The mods in question do vary in quality, but overall, they're not too shabby.

Re: Rayman Origins
I'll definitely have a look into some of these since I have the game on uplay. I actually got Origins for free on uplay about a year and a half ago along with 6 other games. They for some reason decided to give away 7 free games.

Re: Rayman Origins
They were celebrating their 30th Anniversary, if memory serves. They gave those games away as part of the celebration.
Re: Rayman Origins
I just happened to get lucky and when I seen Origins I thought I'll take them free games. I didn't even play Origins though and then got it free on Xbox also and that's when I finally decided to try it. I was an idiot to believe it wasn't a good game just because my friend said so and I didn't play it until 6 years after release. Loved it then asked him why he said that and after he seen me playing it, he said it looks brilliant he doesn't know why he would've said it wasn't good
Also bought RL. I will have a look at some of these mods just since I can on the PC version and since I own R2 on everything but PC I might get it for that too if it will actually work on my PC.

Re: Rayman Origins
If you're after Rayman 2 on PC, you could try getting it from GoG, it might save you having to deal with potential issues, and it's DRM free.
Re: Rayman Origins
Might do that so. That way I'll own every port of 2 released apart from the original DS version. I ordered the 3DS version because it wasn't expensive anyway. I think this is them all anyway.
PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, N64, DS, 3DS, PC. I don't currently own the red ones and I'm not too interested in the mobile versions anyway really.

Re: Rayman Origins
While I have Rayman Origina, I hadn’t taken time to and play it. I have heard the soundtrack though and I’ve already decided which songs i like from it. Which i should post later.
