Yeah, something happened without my knowledge.

Well, I was able to do the survey, thanks to good ol' Internet Explorer. And I gotta say, I like the additions you made Master! :)

Reminds me of a weird piece of malware that once infected one of my Windows PCs, causing Firefox to open its own uninstallation program every time I started it. :fou2:

Wait, how can 10,5% of our active members prefer the Rayman 2 N64 MIDIS than its original soundtrack? :pascontent:

Might not be 10.5% of our presently active members, the survey is open to anyone who clicks the links, so lurkers could easily have had such opinions.

Also, who put "Rayman 4" as to what they want to happen to the Rayman lore? The whole section of questions is about what they want out of a possible "Rayman 4" or other sort of sequel. That one question was about where such a hypothetical title fit in the series, and what effect it would have on the lore overall.

In regards to that question in general, I think I'll end up putting a separate pie chart for that question onto the spreadsheet, since it seems that a lot of the alternate answers are along the same line as "splitting the timelines" or "interquel."

God, those lurkers have really bad tastes then!

Also, I didn't understand what did you mean by "splitting the timelines" so I answered "Ignore the plots and lore of RO / RL" in the "other" form. :oops2:

Pretty much change the games to be in a multiverse, or multiple timelines. It's an idea I've heard discussed before, where folks split the titles into segments like the R1verse, the 3Dverse and the UbiArt titles, for example. Another example is the Hyrule Historia timeline for the Legend of Zelda franchise.

I really don't like that somehow. I think it would just make it even more confusing, if that's possible.

Personally, I think I'm past the point of trying to make sense of things, it's fun to theorise but I don't try to do so with the same seriousness I did before. It seems in general, that's the consensus, the majority of responses at present would rather things continue as is.

I think that if they did want to create a lore-heavy incarnation of the Rayman series, at this point it'd probably be best to go down the reboot route and start afresh, though they could distil lore elements from the games as they are to form a basis for this new version of the Rayman universe.

Two months in and 43 responses, very nice indeed. It looks like we're at that familiar scenario with Rayman 2 and 3 going head to head, while the 2D titles are sitting away at the side. It does look like more folks have shown preference to those titles compared to last year however, though it's still a minute nibble compared to the chunks the 3D titles have.

I haven't taken the survey yet but I'm going to. I noticed the Vita versions of Legends and Origins aren't on the portable list though but then again they have console and PC versions too.

Huh, scratch what I said earlier, it looks like Rayman 2 has taken a bit more and has a visible lead on the charts now.

To whomever put "very dynamic" as their second favourite trait in Rayman 3, could you clarify what you mean by that? Also, whoever put "everything" for Rayman 2, that's called a cop-out.

I actually should have waited and finished Rayman 2 and 3 before taking the survey but funny enough my prediction was right that 2 is my favourite game. I might edit the reasons to why I like them etc. now that I know much more about them.

The survey's meant to be an annual thing anyways, so you'll get a chance when the next survey is up.

Suppose yeah. I did vote 2 as my favourite anyway. Really like the story in 2. RL and RO are great too though but I know because some people only want a 3D game they just skipped them. I personally love all the games and clearly the first game is by far the hardest one as the survey clearly indicates ;)

Hmm, seeing as Master’s no longer here, what are we gonna do when 2018 ends?

He told me he’ll close the 2018 one himself when the time comes.

I’d be glad to take care of next year’s survey. What do you guys think?

That's an interesting idea, I personally wouldn't mind you handling it. :)

As for the survey (which I forgot to put my own thoughts here since it's been months now :oops2: ), I chose 2, there are so many good things about this game, the characters are interesting, the music is awesome and fits each environment very well, speaking of which the environments are pretty well detailed, the puzzles and searching for lums kept me engaged, etc.

That’s fine, but you should probably wait to see what everybody else thinks first and not just me. ;)
