Rayman 2 Crabs

I'll try that out myself, keeping track of how many shots it takes for the Red Lums to appear.

I can test if it happens in the other versions since I'm not busy. Just beat Razorbeard in Revolution so have to collect the Lums. If I see a crab in Revolution I'll try it and I'll try the Dreamcast version too.

Edit: It doesn't happen on The Minisaurus plain. I'll try the Sanctuary of Water and Ice.
Edit 2: Nope. Definitely doesn't happen in Revolution. Stood there shooting a crab for about 3 minutes and all they do is fly in the air and land.

That only happens in the PS1 Version.
If you look at them closely, they actually flip upside down and then give out red lums. After that, they flip up again. They stop doing that after a while, probably because you have enough health there.(or maybe all of it.)

In other versions, the crabs are worthless. I'm almost sure of it.

I still tested it last night and all that happens is in Revolution, the crab flies up in the air then falls back down. On the Dreamcast, the crab just bounces up slightly off the ground and falls back down. None of the 2 games give you red lums from the crabs though.

n64 is still left,but it probably doesnt do anything

Probably doesn't, but I'm expecting the N64 version to arrive tomorrow. I can test it just to confirm when it does. I could use project64 but might as well wait since it should be here tomorrow.
