All my PS2 consoles work fine but I got a really cheap PS1 (€5) and it turns out to have a dead laser. I found a laser and motor assembly for it on ebay and decided I might as well fix the console since it was only cheap
I tried to POT tweak the laser but it literally doesn't even light up meaning the diode is dead.
+ Oh yes!! Guess who just got a replacement Dreamcast board in the post to fix the Dreamcast they broke. It's an NTSC board

- It might be a little unpleasant for me since I have to find my own way to lessons being held at another school since the car isn't up and running.

- Still didn't get my Saturn controllers or Rayman. Hopefully they arrive Monday.
+ Still staying positive that they will and happy with the GBA
+ Making good progress in these final weeks for my project
- I've come to the realisation that I've made some very stupid mistakes during the PCB design stage
+ While it's not ideal, I can compensate for it and just use a breadboard, it's not as elegant, but it'll do the job
